Schools in Malaysia
Some comments from participating schools
“The school visits were a highlight. The Malaysian staff and
students were a delight and very keen to show off their
schools and their programs. They were so proud and excited
to host us but also keen to learn about our system.
The program has great potential. Each of the participants
were so committed to building a positive relationship with their
sister schools that the program cannot help but be successful.”

Some comments from participating schools
“I definitely feel very passionate about the benefits of
sister schools and exchanges – many students these
days care only about themselves and are so blinkered in
their outlook on life that any program that can counteract
those thoughts in any way at all to improve their global
perspective on life can only be of benefit in the long
term!”
Viviane Keogh, teacher, Rosebud Secondary College
“Cobden Technical School students are not exposed to a
multi-racial or multi-religious lifestyle. The Sister school
program exposed CTS students to Islamic rules,
etiquettes and lifestyle… “
Halim from Sekolah Teknik Alor Setar Cheras – sister school to
Cobden Technical School

“Malaysia was hosting the 2nd ASEAN Students games
during my visit. All the Malaysian Ministry of Education
and Ministry of Sport staff and high ranking officials were
aware of the Australia Malaysia Institute, and the highly
valued Sister School program with its internationalisation
goals …..the delegation officially recognised this on stage
as part of the Opening Dinner”
