Schedules should be submitted online with your club’s log-in details. If you don’t know these contact the NZKC. Schedules can also be sent as a complete image (such a s a.jpg, .tif or pagemaker). I won my first BIS in 1978 with a beagle and since then we have been lucky to have bred or owned many BIS winners in both breeds. In Griffons we have bred several all breeds BIS winners and at Specialty level won BIS over 10 times. In beagles I won BIS at the 2nd National in Melbourne and made up several Champions. I have also owned a BIS winning Whippet and a group winning Japanese Chin and Wire Fox Terrier. There are Beagriff Champions in over 8 countries. I am currently living in the UK and judge almost every month some where in Europe. In the UK I am approved to award CC’S in Beagles Griffons and Australian Terriers. I have judged world wide in some 25 countries. I also write a regular column in ”Dog World” and have also had articles published in The USA, South Africa and Australia. Fred J. Veldman (South Africa) I started showing Pekingese in 1975 making up several champions. In 1978 I purchased my first King Charles Spaniel that became the top KCS in South Africa for the following six years. In 1979 I imported a King Charles Spaniel from England from which I produced my first homebred KCS champion. In 1984 I imported a Lhasa Apso from USA. My first litter produced four champions and I imported five more Lhasas from USA exhibiting successfully producing several champions. At this time I rescued a number of Shih Tzu and showed them successfully achieving a BIS. In 1999 I purchase my first Chihuahua which was followed by the import NZ Ch Salinacruz Blue D’Zire. She was multi Best Smooth Chihuahua of the Year winner and still continues winning Best Veteran on Show at ten years of age. In 2006 I travelled to Crufts and in 2007 went to the Windsor Show in U.K. and as a result imported Natamuk Keenaughts Bobby Dazzler of De Chatalet who is present top Chihuahua (both varieties) in South Africa. I also exhibit Papillion’s making up three champions in 2007/2008, and am at present showing a homebred Japanese Chin and two co-owned Lowchen from German imports. I am on the championship panel in South Africa for the Toy Group and have judged this group and specialist breeds on numerous occasions. I judge the Utility Group at championship level but await access to the panel. I judge Terriers and Hounds at Open Show Level. 66 New Zealand Kennel Club Gazette July 2008 Entries Close: 28 August 2008 Entries Close: 25 August 2008 South Island Poodle Club Dominion Chihuahua Club Canterbury Kennel Centre, McLeans Island Road, Christchurch Canterbury Kennel Centre, McLeans Island Road, Christchurch Thursday 25 September 2008 Thursday 25 September 2008 Championship Show Championship Show In conjunction with National Prelude Show Judging order: Standard, Miniature, Toy.
