In 2005 We have started to work intensively for the the local community, with the following objectives: activation of unemployed & disabled people local development actions against poverty At the beginning our partnership was informal! Until now we have implemented together 10 projects in which 250 unemployed people have found jobs. 2009 We signed a formal partnership agreement for the development of our small country! They are introducing modern methods of working with long-term unemployed people (mini-coaching). Crowning achievement of our partnership was the setting up the Social Cooperative „Opoka” Social co-operatives was set up by two entities Association for the sustainable socio-economic development „KLUCZ” + Christian Charity Association = Other partners supported the cooperative- not financially, but with other available resources. A company that initially did not have any subsidy was established. OPS – commissioned food support for customers (poorest municipalities) OUR FIRST CLIENT PUP- prepared the unemployed for gastronimic trainings Association – shared available managers Commune – lent a vehicle for food distribution Primary School – provided an office Our first residence was renovated and financed by private entrepreneur motto „(…) the highest level in a golden ladder of charity: prevent poverty teaching professions, giving someone a job(…)” Majmonides, about charity, (XII century) The main objective was to restore (reintegrate) people who were put at risk of social exclusion into the labour market by conducting joint enterprise and to allow the unemployed a professional activation. Today OPOKA is a well established business entity that employs 50 people, including 80% of disabled people who have learned the profession of cook, waiter and kitchen help. Besides teaching the profession of the disabled people, there are also some workshops of social competence and medical rehabilitation. Feeding the Poor programme Feeding adults and their families in 2010-2013 commissioned by the Social Help Centre in Klucze, Including pizza service, food preparation and delivery as well as dinner for more than 300 people in seven spots in the community Klucze OPS customers Risk of poverty in the European Union (percentage, total population and children, 2005) We have reconstructed and equipped a new building by ourselves In summary the effects of local partnerships are: The first social cooperative set up by two legal persons in Poland After 1 year of our activity we had income of 1 200 000 PLN (about 300 000 EUR) 50 work places for people in a particularly difficult situation on the labor market Social services for the local market A stable source of funding for local develompent projects We do not multiply financial actions financed by UE in the arena of our district The creation of a wide offer for the unemployed: through mental support to working places Consistent local and social politics Thank you for your attention!
