Quebec based Decathlon Realty Corporation and it’s Ontario affiliate, Decathlon Commercial
Realty Corporation, provide commercial real estate services to a variety of client types including

The real estate services provided include site searches and acquisitions, tenant representation;
investment, multi-residential and industrial property sales; and retail, office and industrial leasing.
Decathlon also covers a very unique market sector, the forestry industry, through the disposition
of surplus timberlands and servicing the storage requirements of various national and
international forestry corporations.
The Quebec and Ontario based branches of Decathlon Realty, through their extensive network of
private investors, financial institutions, pension funds, REIT’s, and major development corporations,
are well positioned to service the needs and expectations of its clients.

Decathlon currently has brokers and agents in Ottawa, Gatineau, and Montreal. The company
was founded in 2000 by David Thomson, B.A., FRI, a commercial real estate broker with 36 years of
experience. In 2006, Mr. Thomson was joined by Pierre Charron, M. Admin, who has worked both
in the public (National Capital Commission) and private (land development) sectors. Wanda Cotie
joined Decathlon in 2008 after working many years for a major Ontario based real estate firm as a
retail leasing specialist. In Montreal, Robert Lajoie, M.B.A., is Decathlon’s man on the ground, and is
very well connected to Montreal’s development and financial communities. In Ottawa,
Philip Zunder, a real estate broker with over 25 years experience; opened Decathlon Commercial
Realty Corporation in 2008, and has added 5 agents to his team. With licenced brokerages in Quebec
and Ontario, Decathlon is able to service the commercial real estate requirements of a huge base of

Mr. Thomson is the owner and broker of Decathlon. He graduated with an Honours
B.A. in Urban Geography from Carleton University and has also received an FRI
diploma from the Real Estate Institute of Canada. He has completed all the courses
offered by the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Mr. Thomson entered the real estate
business in 1972 and has 37 years of experience in the industry, with particular
reference to land sales, retail site selection and investment property sales. Over
the years, Mr. Thomson has sold hundreds of acres of development land in OttawaGatineau; as well as shopping centres, big-box stores, office buildings, retirement
residences and dozens of apartment buildings of various types and sizes. He has
dealt extensively with various levels of government including school boards, The
City of Gatineau, the National Capital Commission and the Department of Public
Works and Government Services of Canada. He has also successfully completed
transactions involving national retail chains, financial institutions, pensions funds,
and private investors and syndications.
Mr. Thomson possesses a vigorous work ethic, very strong market research skills,
a determined and persistence approach to problem solving and a commanding
knowledge of the real estate industry.

Mr. Charron is an affiliated real estate agent, and Manager of Decathlon’s MultiResidential Division. He holds a Masters degree from the University of Quebec in
Administration and a Bachelors degree in Administration, with a concentration in
accounting, from the University of Ottawa.
Pierre stated his career as an external auditor for one of the most prominent
chartered accounting firms in Eastern Canada, eventually becoming the chief of
the special audit services. Pierre pursued his career in financial and accounting
services and assumed a number of senior executive positions in the Federal
Government, most notably as Director, Strategic Planning and Budgeting, and the
Director of Management Consulting Programs for the Real Estate Develpment
Branch at he National Capital Commission. Pierre then focused his attention on
house construction, land develpment and the financial analysis of multi-residential
and commercial projects. He has been with Decathlon for 3 years and during that
time has emerged as a real power in the local multi-residential market, as well as
completing numerous transactions in retail leasing and investment property sales.
Pierre is a very competitive entrepreneur with a creative mind, excellent negotiating
skills and good common sense.

based real estate firm as a retail leasing specialist. Prior to that, she was a part
owner of a Re-Max franchise and has a total of 16 years experience in real estate.
