Xibe has worked in libraries for over fifteen years, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and is dedicated to providing innovative services focused on the unique needs of the community. Her leadership positions in Brentwood Public Library’s Career Development Center, Circulation, and Technical Services departments have provided her with a broad understanding of library systems and management. I am proud to acknowledge Mona Pierre-Louis, a Brentwood Public Library employee for over twenty years, for her dedication to the library and the community. Mona was recognized by Senator Tom Croci for her volunteer efforts at this year’s Black History Month awards. Finally, construction continues in the local history room. Our target date for reopening the room is set for this summer. Thank you for your patience as we work to bring enhanced history and genealogy services to our patrons. These are Russian folk art animals molded out of clay and then painted with bright geometric patterns.
