The score report will include your photograph and examination results indicating "pass" or "fail". Your score report will not include your performance on the pre-test questions, nor will these pre-test questions be used to determine your pass/fail status. Passing Scores • Note: Immediate scoring is available for all examinations, unless the exam is in a beta period. Please refer to the exam's home page for any announcements. (If applicable, when sufficient candidate volume has been reached, final scoring audits will be conducted, the passing score will be set, and the score reports will be mailed to candidates. From this point forward, score reports will be issued at the assessment centers upon completion of the examination.) • RHIT: The current passing scaled score for the RHIT examination is 300 out of 400. RHIT/RHIA Exam Reimbursement Program Eligible candidates will meet ALL of the following criteria at the time of their application: Be a Student Member or New Graduate member of both AHIMA and AzHIMA, in good standing (AHIMA and AzHIMA dues have been paid) at the time of their application and at the time of the semi-annual draw. Student must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above Student will have passed his/her RHIA or RHIT credentialing exam within 180 days after graduation from any CAHIIM accredited RHIA or RHIT program. http://knowledgeconnex.azhima-rhia-or-rhit-exam-reimbursement-program.sgizmo.com/s3/ Maintaining Your RHIT CEU Requirements for Single Credential RHIT 20 CEUs CEU Requirements for Multiple Credentials If you have more than one AHIMA credential, you must earn ten (10) additional CEUs per credential during your two-year recertification cycle. These CEUs may not be duplicated or used for more than one credential. https://secure.ahima.org/certification/ce/cereporting/ Certification Cycles Initial Cycle • The initial recertification cycle for newly credentialed certificants (first credential obtained) begins the day after the credential is awarded, plus the additional two (2) calendar year recertification period. A credential is awarded when a candidate: • Passes the certification examination, OR • Passes the certification examination AND has successfully completed the academic requirements of an HIIM program accredited by CAHIIM (RHIA and RHIT early testing candidates). The academic prerequisite is confirmed when an official transcript is submitted and approved. Ongoing Cycle • The recertification cycle for subsequently obtained credential(s) begins with the next cycle date for the first or initial credential. The next cycle date begins on January 1, and ends on December 31, of the following year.
