Wed, July 27, 6:00 pm
This class combines three popular topics:
Landscape Photography, High Dynamic Range
(HDR), and Macro Photography into one class
perfect for that big trip. Landscape photography
topics will include composition, depth of field,

photography, which allows you to combine
multiple images to make use of the full tonal range
in the shadows, mid tones and highlights. We
will discuss all of the ways to get the best macro
photographs including different lens choices,
focusing, composition, and other topics involved
with macro photography. Bring your camera to

Picking up from where 101 left off, we take an
in-depth look at how shutter speed, aperture
and ISO effect various photographic situations.
We break down difficult situations to shoot
and how to use your exposure compensation
controls to get the picture you want. We will
also talk about ‘stops’ of light and how you
can have equivalent exposures to a scene. We
explain why shooting in Manual Mode may
be the best option for some situations. Other
topics will include how shutter speed affects
flash, bracketing, metering modes and locking
your exposure.
In this two hour hands on class, we will continue to
explore the options available to you for controlling your
exposures. When do we want to shoot in Aperture
Mode? Shutter Priority? Why does setting your ISO,
shutter speed and aperture manually give you the most
creative control over most photo situations? We will
experiment with the different modes by taking some
photos in the class and outside. Using your speedlight/
flash, we will explore how to balance your flash
exposure with the overall scene indoors and outside.
The instructor will give you advice and critique your
photos as you shoot. This is a valuable class to attend for
anyone wanting to master creative exposure techniques
and to take their images to the next level. Make sure to
