Spring 2014
WELCOME TO YOUR NEW USU CREDIT UNION!
On behalf of the entire Goldenwest family,
welcome to your new USU Credit Union!
We’re honored that USU Credit Union members made the
decision to join forces with Goldenwest. Together, we will strive
to provide our members with the relevant financial tools and
resources you need to simplify your life and achieve your goals.
Our team has been working tirelessly to make this transition
as smooth as possible for you. This merger creates a stronger
credit union that will further enhance benefits for all of our
members.
Each member household should have received a USU Credit Union Merger Guide with detailed information to help
you through your account conversion process. The latest merger information is available online at www.usucu.org
and at all 26 Goldenwest and USU Credit Union branches statewide. Member care center representatives are available
to assist you with merger questions over the phone at 435-753-4080 or 800-248-6361 and by responding to your
emails at info@usucu.org.
Across our organization, one of our main objectives is to create an environment that gives you personal and
meaningful experiences with your credit union. We want to have effective conversations with our members through
face-to-face visits at branches, speaking over the phone, written communication via direct mail, email or online chat
sessions, or even reaching out through social media. Interacting with USU Credit Union should be both convenient
and uncomplicated for our members. Regardless how you choose to communicate with us, we want to hear from you.
On behalf of our Board of Directors and the entire credit union team, we again thank you for your ongoing
support during the merger. We look forward to serving you and your family for many years to come.
As a member of the Goldenwest Credit Union network, we invite you to join us at the Annual Meeting
on April 8th at the corporate office in South Ogden to learn more about the growing benefits
of your USU Credit Union membership. We look forward to meeting with you!

About the Candidates
Tad Neuenswander Incumbent/Three Year Term
I have been a member of Goldenwest Credit Union for more than 35 years. I have
a vested interest in ensuring that Goldenwest continues to operate successfully
for many years to come. I currently work in the high-tech industry and possess
a strong background in business and technology. I have a B.A. from Weber State
University in Business Administration and a MBA from Westminster College. I feel
that my business and technology background will enable me to ensure the right
oversight, continuity and stability of Goldenwest, as well as high quality services
for its members. I would love the opportunity to continue to serve the members of
Goldenwest Credit Union.
Karen Kagie Incumbent/Three Year Term
I’ve been a member for 18+ years of one of the top lending institutions in both our
state and nation, utilizing most of the services Goldenwest Credit Union offers. I
have 11+ years experience as an accountant, have been a Realtor for the past 5 years
and have served as GWCU board of directors and supervisory committee liaison for
the past 3 years. I enjoy giving back to my community and have served in many
capacities. I’m impressed by the wonderful leadership and people I have served
with at GWCU, the pride employees put into their work and that the credit union
always puts members first when making decisions. This is evident in the strength of
Goldenwest Credit Union today. I am familiar with the duties and responsibilities of
a board member and if elected will fulfill all duties and responsibilities of the office.
Cynthia Aguillard Candidate/Three Year Term
As a retired Air Force, DoD civilian, and member of Goldenwest, I bring 20+ years
of management experience. I have an MBA with an emphasis in business and
procurement. I am highly effective in promoting a positive, productive environment,
having earned a reputation for quality service to customers, contractors, and if given
the opportunity, to GWCU members/investors. I am resourceful and self-confident,
with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. These skill sets
have helped me be successful as a volunteer at my son’s school and fundraising for
American Red Cross. Therefore, I believe my education, work experience, and personal
skill sets will be very useful in helping GWCU maintain its status as a top-notch
Credit Union. I have a strong interest and commitment to GWCU and am extremely
motivated to learn board member duties/responsibilities, donate my time, education
and business experience to serve our community as a GWCU board member.
Dan Musgrave Incumbent/Two Year Term
I am a lifelong resident of Weber County and have been a Goldenwest member since
birth. I attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Weber State University
in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Public Relations. I am the president
of Downtown Ogden Inc., the downtown Ogden business alliance. I have worked to
help in the revitalization of downtown Ogden for the past 20 years. I serve on the
boards of Historic 25th Street, The Junction Association, Ogden Pioneer Days, Mt.
Ogden Rotary, Ogden/Weber CVB, Christmas Village and Utah CDC. I have served
in the Wildcat Club, Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce and Weber State Alumni
Association. In addition, I manage the Ogden Farmers’ Market, Ogden City Arts
and the Ogden Amphitheater. I have enjoyed my time on the Goldenwest Board of
Directors and look forward to continuing serving our membership.
