Bolivia is a country which, thanks to political stability, is experiencing a period of growth and economic development. Bottega has decided to enter this exciting market, whose potential is still untapped, and has chosen
Carelu Importaciones y Representaciones as its partner. To celebrate this partnership, our new Bolivian importer organized a
grand event on 14 April 2015, during which Bottega Prosecco - the first Prosecco to be imported into Bolivia - was highlighted.
The presentation and tasting of our wines and spirits was held in Santa Cruz, economic capital of the country, at the prestigious
and award-winning restaurant Jardín de Asia. 140 guests attended, including journalists, restaurateurs and opinion leaders
as well as the entire management of Carelu Importaciones y Representaciones. The Bottega wines and spumanti had a very
good reception from the guests. Bottega Gold, the star product of the evening, was presented by model Fabiola Velasco in a
golden dress. She will be the celebrity sponsor of Bottega in Bolivia for advertising and for any sort of communications.

Decanter World Wine Awards is a prestigious competition dedicated to wine organized every year in England by the publishing
group Decanter. Our Il Vino dei Poeti Brunello di Montalcino and
Bottega Gold have earned two silver medals.

The Asian Spirits Masters is a competition, organized by the magazine The Spirits Business. Our company has earned a double major
recognition. Grappa Alexander Platinum and Grappa Privata
Riserva Barricata were awarded the Silver Medal.
VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO
AND AMARONE:
LUCA GARDINI RATING
Luca Gardini, born in 1981, is a young wine connoisseur, who won
the title of Best Sommelier of the World in 2010. In a recent tasting,
organized by the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella, our
wines have earned a flattering score. In detail, the Valpolicella
Classico 2014 Bottega won a rating of 91 and placed 3rd among
16 similar wines tasted. Amarone della Valpolicella 2011 Il Vino
degli Dei Bottega boasts a score of 90 and was the 8th among 23
samples tasted.

LIMONCINO BOTTEGA
The Bottega group produces Limoncino with a selection of Sicilian lemons which guarantee the product
freshness and aromas. In order to make this liqueur even more typical and characteristic, the company
has developed, in collaboration with its suppliers in Sicily, a careful research on the organoleptic
characteristics of lemons. A percentage of grappa is used in the infusion to enhances and enrich this
liqueur with a distinct Mediterranean personality. The 30° alcohol makes it a non-binding liquor, to
drink cold. It can be consumed as a digestive, in cocktails and ice cream.
The Characteristics of the Product
The production process includes a preliminary screening of lemons, grown naturally, followed by the
hand peeling, the preparation and the infusion of the peel in an alcoholic solution for the time needed
to allow alcohol and grappa to extract essential oils from the peels of citrus fruits. The infusion
obtained is then added with sugar, based on the degree of sweetness and body that we wish to
give the liquor. In order to obtain a product of good quality, lemons that have not been treated with
pesticides should be chosen. It is also necessary to free the skin of the white substrate that would give
the liquor an unpleasant bitter smell.
Serving Suggestions
Limoncino Bottega must be served cold at a temperature that satisfies the palate, without dampening
the aromatic intensity of the product. Great as a digestive, it is an informal liquor for all occasions.
It can be consumed straight, but also in addition to ice cream, sorbet or fruit salad. It is an excellent
ingredient for cocktails and long drinks. Furthermore it may be diluted with tonic water or ice and
be consumed as a refreshing drink or a slightly alcoholic aromatic appetizer.
Ingredients for a cake: 3 eggs, 125 g of sugar, 125 g of butter,
150 g of flour, a packet of yeast, a lemon, half a glass of Limoncino,
whipped cream to taste.
Preparation.
Beat the eggs with sugar until creamy and well swollen,
then add the cooled melted butter, add the lemon zest
and gradually incorporate flour and baking powder
sifted together, mix well with electric mixer and add milk if
necessary. Grease and flour a cake pan, pour in the mixture
and bake the cake in the oven at 180° C for 30 minutes. Fill
the cake with the whipped cream and sprinkle with icing sugar.
BOTTEGA SPRITZ
Ingredients: 2 parts of Limoncino Bottega,
3 parts of Bottega Millesimato, 1 part of soda.
Ingredienti: 50 ml Limoncino Bottega; 75 ml
Bottega Millesimato; 1 ml Seltz; ice cubes; slice
of lemon; mint leaves.
Preparation.
Put some ice cubes and half a slice of
lemon and mint leaves in a wine glass,
pour the Limoncino with a circular motion
to prevent deposits on the bottom, add
Bottega Millesimato and finish with a
little of soda.

For years Bottega has collaborated with the Prosecco

AFTERLIGHT
EVENT
Trinidad and Tobago is a sovereign state and an archipelago
of the Lesser Antilles, located near the Venezuelan coast.
For some years Bottega has had its own importer there. On
16 May, on the beach near the capital Port of Spain, the
Afterlight event was held, starting at sunset and lasting well
into the night. In this delightful setting, among the tasting
tables on the beach, the tables dedicated to our sparkling
wines were a great success. This event was created by the
same company organizing the Trinidad Carnival, the second
most famous Carnival in the world.
DOC Consortium, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene
Prosecco DOCG Consortium, the Valpolicella Consortium
and the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium. Bottega is also
an integral part of Assodistil, the National Association of
Industrial Distillers of Spirits and Liquors. Each of the five
consortiums has made a combined presentation of their
associates for Expo. This is a summary of our presence:
• “Wine – A Taste of Italy” Pavilion, in the “Library of
Wine”, Area Veneto Region (with Wine of the Poets
Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG, Bottega Gold, Amarone
Riserva Prêt-à-Porter) and Area Tuscany Region (with
Wine of the Poets Brunello di Montalcino which is also
featured on an App and an online platform to buy wines
with your smartphone)
• “Wine – A Taste of Italy” Pavilion, in the “hall dedicated
to grappa” (with Grappa Alexander, Grappa Sandro
Bottega Fumé, Grappolo Alexander). In the same context
a tasting corner has been installed, under the aegis of
Assodistil and VeronaFiere.
In addition, our Wine of the Poets Valdobbiadene Prosecco
DOCG, along with 15 other wines of the appellation, is
served in the “Italy is Eataly” Pavilion, in the “Saporem”
space, in the 5 wine bars and 14 restaurants of Eataly,
and also during the 6 official dinners of Eataly.

NIGHT IN GENOA
On Saturday 28 March 2015 a Bottega Night event was
held in Genoa, at the Casa Mia club, which combines in the
same space a restaurant pizzeria, devoted just to Italian
dishes with PDO ingredients, and a nightclub with the best
DJs. The staff gave special attention to our Bottega Night,
with a format much appreciated by those enjoying the
Genoese nightlife.

The first week of Expo was a special occasion for Bottega to
increase the visibility of its products. In this regard Bottega
Gold was the star of an impressive exhibition in Galleria
Vittorio Emanuele at two different prestigious locations:
the Gatto Rosso Restaurant and the Bar Si Literary Caffè.
In Milan’s meeting place the glamour spumante and its
unmistakable packaging, together with a wide selection
of Bottega wines and grappa, caught the attention of the
Milanese and visitors to Expo.
TUTTOFOOD:
BUSINESS AND EVENTS
From 3 to 6 May 2015 in Rho (Milan) Bottega participated
in Tuttofood, a trade show that shared date and location
with the opening of Expo. The Milan event was an
opportunity to organize two Bottega evenings on 4 and 5
May at two fashionable locations: the Cost and the Replay.

BOTTEGA ON BLUE PANORAMA
Blue Panorama is an Italian airline that was founded in 1998 and specializes in connecting some of the main airports
of our country with tourist locations on short-, medium- and long-haul flights. The longer routes include many popular
destinations throughout the Caribbean area. From 15 May 2015 our Limoncino Bottega has been included in the sales
catalogue on board.

The Hamilton Art Gallery, a prestigious art gallery in the city of
that name in southern Ontario (Canada), recently hosted a small
event dedicated to wedding planners. Among the most popular
products were the Bottega spumanti (Gold and Wine of the Poets
Prosecco DOC) that were widely appreciated and will be offered
as top-quality sparkling wines to bride and groom.

the Cathay Pacific Crew Carnival, an event of great
commercial importance, that is organized annually by the
prestigious Asian airline. It is an ad hoc opportunity to
bring together in a single space the Cathay flight crews
and suppliers to the company. Bottega participated in the
party with a rich assortment of wines, grappa and liquors.
NORWAY:
AN EXPANDING MARKET
Norway is a market of great interest, especially for
products such as wine and spirits which are subject to a
regime of monopoly and high taxation. From 27 to 29
April 2015 our company participated, together with
our importer, in three travelling exhibitions dedicated
exclusively to buyers, shop managers and staff of the
Norway Vinmonopolet Monopoly. Alesund, Stavanger
and of course the capital Oslo were the three cities where
the exhibitions were held, with the aim of presenting the
new products offered by the Monopoly especially for the
summer season. Of particular interest were Spritz Pronol
and the new Petalo Prosecco DOC Extra Dry, produced
in limited edition with a ribbon that reproduces the colors
of the Norwegian flag to celebrate the 17 May national
holiday.

BARBER SHOP INSTALLATION
On 30 and 31 March 2015 Antwerp hosted the Venuez fair, which Bottega attended through its customer Vinalfood
which chose to set up its stand like a Barber Shop. We discovered that everything to do with the Barber’s profession in
Belgium has a high-quality image.

The famous showgirl Belen Rodriguez has posted on
Instagram a photo that portrays the Neapolitan actress
Tosca D’Aquino in her kitchen. On the worksurface there
is a bottle of our Bottega Gold.
The increase in the last year of Italian wine exports to non-EU countries was +2.4%, against +0.5% for the
EU-28 market. The growth in non-EU exports is almost 5 times higher compared to sales in the EU. We are
witnessing a sort of migration of wine consumption. From 2000 to the present day EU consumption fell 6%
while that of other countries was up 25%. The United States is by no means a mature market for Italian
wines. Wine consumption is strongly concentrated, grouped for the most part in 5 States. Having said that,
Brand Italy is strong among new US consumers, especially among one category, the Millennials, representing
the largest demographic group (20-35 years, 21% of the population) after the Baby Boomers (50-68
years, 24% of the population). After Californian wines (46%), Italian wines (35.6%) are the most popular
with the children of the Baby Boomers. 44% of young American consumers consider that Italian wines
are qualitatively superior to French wines, while only 3% prefer French wines. The Business Strategies/
Nomisma observatory focuses on the degree of knowledge on the part of Millennials about the Italian
wine regions, and here Tuscany wins with 27% of 1st choices, then Veneto and Sicily (16%) and Piedmont
(12%). Prosecco is worthy of its own mention, being a must for generation Y (the Millennials). Prosecco is a
top-quality 1st choice for 42% for New York evenings. Only 39% would order Champagne or other Italian
sparkling wines as an alternative to Prosecco.

it a prestigious gift.
Pinot Grigio Rosé IGT delle Venezie
The new Pinot Grigio Rosé (cod. V13046075) is an unusual wine that draws immediate attention for its pink color. It is
a IGT delle Venezie, which is produced in the Piave area. The alcohol content (12% vol.) makes it a wine characterized
by a good structure. Thanks to its elegant aroma is suitable for multiple combinations. This new reference is now on stock.
