While KilT has been adding new feathers to its cap, its protege Kalinga Ins titute of Social Scien ces (KISS) is creating waves both in aca demic and extra-cur ricular activities. Is it not amazing to find the tiny institution is now celebrating its two decades of existe nce as world's larg est residential institution for the indigenous chi ldren. During the per iod under review, KISS was fortunate to be blessed by Shri B. L. Joshi, His Excellency the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The greate st accolade for the unt iring efforts to put KilT and KISS distinc tly visible in the world has come from one of the largest circulated dai ly 'Times' from London which has lauded the efforts of the Founde r of KISS and KIIT for his contribution to the soc iety at large. I am happy to see that the initiative taken by Dr. Samanta way back in 1993 has now celebrating 20'h year of its existence. It is not that it is in the verge of completing 2 decades, but completion of 20 years of success of revolution, called KISS. I gathered that many states have come forward to replicate KISS in their states. World media has been writing about KISS. While TIME Magazine put up a story about it, Times from London has hailed Dr. Samanta's 'seva' service without any expectation. The smiling faces of 2 0 , 000 children, the blessings of their parents, the satisfaction of giving back to the society and the rare reviews by the entire world are with him. I have gone through the article published in Reader's Digest about Dr. Samanta. I compliment Dr. Samanta for his dedication. Lea rn i n g is a conti n uo u s p rocess.
