20 minutes to recreate the look perfectly.
The challenge is to ensure every model’s
hair looks exactly the same as the demo –
just as it would at a real fashion show.
Before engaging in your role as stylist/
designer, there’s the all-important brief.
Students each pick two theme words
out of a hat and must design a look that
brings the theme words to life, including
a storyboard of your concept. As with the
criteria for any real-life shoot or parade,
there will be specific directions you
must follow.
The final challenge is to develop a new
KEVIN.MURPHY product idea and make
a presentation of your concept. This
workshop is designed to build confidence
by enabling stylists to demonstrate a new

American Crew Menswork Method of cutting. We
will focus on clipper and scissor work to create lean,
masculine haircuts. This course utilises the fundamentals
of Menswork theory and product knowledge.

haircuts. The Rebel; a bold and masculine shape using
the feather razor as your primary tool.The Icon; a strong
classic shape using the clipper and shear to create this

This is a beginner’s haircutting course aimed
at those who have little to no experience
in haircutting.
Come and learn the foundations of
haircutting including body positioning, basic

assist you to refine your solid, blunt cutting

ESSENTIAL CUTTING
& CLIPPER COURSE
In this course you will gain the confidence and skill necessary
to master classic barbering through the American Crew
Menswork Method of cutting. We will focus on clipper and
scissor work to create lean, masculine haircuts. This course
utilises the fundamentals of Menswork theory and product
knowledge.
FUNDAMENTALS
In this brand new workshop you will work on three haircuts.
The Rebel; a bold and masculine shape using the feather
razor as your primary tool. The Icon; a strong classic shape
using the clipper and shear to create this fundamental
changeable look. The Crop; a minimalist haircut for
perfect grooming, combining clipper techniques alongside
texturising methods.
CLOSE SHAVE
In case you haven’t noticed, men’s barbering is booming.
The need to personalise mens grooming services has
never been in greater demand. If you’ve always wanted to
introduce mens face shaves and neck clean ups, but weren’t
sure where to start, then here is your chance. Your salon

HAIRDRESSING COUNCIL
An industry as mature as hairdressing in Australia deserves more professional, coordinated representation to assist salons and teams
to evolve and grow. Introducing the Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC). This not-for-profit national organisation will ensure a
dedicated, coordinated focus on advancing our industry at all levels.
The AHC had its origins in a meeting in November 2006 to discuss the chronic difficulties in attracting good staff - and a subsequent
industry ‘think tank’ was established to recommend the best way forward. It is clear that a united industry voice that engages with
all sectors should underpin a national industry body dedicated to great business practices leading to strong and consistent salon
profits. The AHC and its unique Salon Select accreditation process is an important and exciting development that will put the fun and
confidence back into salon ownership.
ONE VOICE SPEAKS LOUDER
The hairdressing industry in Australia faces significant challenges: we have a critical skills shortage and we’re missing out on muchneeded Government funding. We need to co-ordinate fragmented industry bodies and work to reassert our reputation internationally.
We need national consistency in training apprentices, and to ensure training is recognised across all states and territories.
The Australian Hairdressing Council is a new beginning - a single, national voice born of the passion and patient dedication of
concerned industry representatives. The board of the AHC have pledged their commitment to getting all existing industry bodies
connected, engaged and committed to re-building the pride and passion exemplified by quality salons Australia-wide.
Acknowledging our industry’s image requirement for a boost in public awareness, the AHC has as a primary goal the encouragement
of more young and talented people to seek a career in hairdressing. But first, the AHC needs to enlist members and develop a large

Salon education can be booked with an Ozdare Sales Consultant,Technical Educator or by calling the Ozdare Education
Department on 1800 125 552. Bookings can be placed on your account or by redeeming your Ozdare Education
Vouchers. Pre-payment at time of booking for non-Ozdare accounts is essential. When booking via rewards or vouchers,
the salon must produce the vouchers at the time of booking or charges will be placed on account. NO CREDIT WILL
BE ISSUED IF WE RECEIVE THE VOUCHERS AFTER THE CLASS IS RUN. Education vouchers CANNOT be used for
Events, including Look & Learns, American Crew Method 01, 02 and/or Antony Whitaker.
Ozdare Education will be confirmed 10 working days prior to scheduled classes being run. Events held by Ozdare such
as Look & Learn evenings WILL NOT be confirmed by phone. At the time of confirming your attendance, an invoice
is produced for all charges for the course. After a student has been confirmed as attending a class, NO refunds are
available. Should a student be unable to attend a class and provides 5 working days notice, they may transfer to the next
class. If another class of this type is not being held, a similar class transfer can be made. If a student is a NO SHOW on
the day of a class or Look & Learn, the charges MUST be paid and no transfer or refund will be issued.
In the case of a student being too ill to attend a class or Look & Learn, salon owners MUST place this detail in writing
to the education department within 7 days after this class or Look & Learn has run in order to qualify for a transfer.
