In alignment with our mission statement of “Empowerment Through Entertainment” Kollaboration’s ultimate goal is a future of innovative and creative artistry with all races and ethnicities. HISTORY Page 4 Founded in 2000 by stand up comedian Paul “PK” Kim in Koreatown, Los Angeles. PK created a stage for Korean American artists to inspire and promote accurate representations of Asians in mainstream media. Over the course of 14 years, the Kollaboration show spread from LA to New York, Chicago, and many other North American cities. Kollaboration became a pan- Asian American Pacific Islander movement and official nonprofit organization in 2006. Kollaboration is the largest and longest standing platform for Asian American Pacific Islander artists and entertainers.
