Fashion tips for
the PETITES
Flared
Jeans
Fitted jeans with a
distinct flare at the
bottom create the illusion of a longer leg.
The trick here is to
keep the fit of the jean
super-slim through
the leg, and to make
sure the waistband
hits your natural waist
and not any lower. For
optimal height, be sure
to pair your flares with
a waist-length top, or a
blouse you can tuck in.
If you’re petite, your height can
feel like a serious hindrance to
your style. So until science comes
up with a way for short folks to
add a few extra inches, your
best bet is to rely on a few clever
fashion tips and tricks to fake
those extra inches.
Ditch the gigantic bag
Keeping your accessories appropriately scaled
to your body size is a smart move for petite girls,
starting with that oversized bag. Here’s why:
Every time you cause the eye to take in width,
you reduce the amount of height it takes in. That
means smaller cross-body bags, clutches, and
small top-handle totes are your best bet.

Maxi Skirts
It’s common fashion folklore that small women
simply cannot wear floor-grazing skirts and dresses,
but luckily that’s been proven entirely false. In fact,
a well-cut maxi skirt can actually give you the appearance of looking taller. Avoid anything with thick
pleats or too many layers and be sure to keep your
top fitted—a tucked-in T-shirt and a cropped leather
jacket, for example—so as to not drown in fabric.
Short is short, long is long
When you’re petite, it’s just a fact that you should either go super-long or
super-short which means avoiding calf-length and knee-lengths. Mini-skirts
show more skin, which creates the illusion of a longer leg. While ankle straps
typically aren’t ideal for short ladies (they cut off your leg), they can work with
super-short skirts since more skin is being shown. Of course, if you’re wearing
a mini, make sure it’s not offensively short—let’s keep it chic, ladies.
Pointy flats?
Yes, please
Since nobody can be
expected to wear sky-high
heels every day, petite gals
should invest in a pair of
pointy flats. Why? Because
it’s a known fact that
shoes with pointed toes
lengthen your leg line.

Not just for TEA
If you’re not a regular tea drinker, then this might just make you change your mind. It’s common knowledge that tea has healing
properties, which is probably why a lot of people prefer it over coffee, but did you know that the tea bags you casually throw
away can be put to more good use? That’s right, used tea bags can be used in many different ways, so why waste them? Here
are a few way to re-use these bags and help you save, long after your cup is empty.
Soothe and
rejuvenate
To soothe minor skin irritations like
sunburns, bruises, mosquito bites
and cold sores, take a cool damp teabag and press it on the affected area
to relieve inflammation and promote
healing. You can also use this trick
to relieve dark circles and rejuvenate
tired puffy eyes by placing a tea bag
on each closed eye for 10-15 minutes.
Deodoriser
Tea bags can make great deodorisers as well. To keep your footwear scent
free, put a dried tea bag in each shoe and keep it overnight to absorb any
odours. You can also place a dried teabag in your closet or even your fridge, if
you want to freshen it up. Just place a few tea bags in a plastic container and
they’ll do the job.
Degreaser
Soaking your dishes overnight with a few brewed
tea bags will help remove tough grease, you’ll find
the next morning that they’ll be easier to clean. You
can also use this to clean your stove, just take your teabags
and give your stove a little scrub before throwing them out.
Marinate
that meat
In order to prevent
the meat from getting
hard and resilient,
marinate it with
already used teabags.
The tea’s aroma will
make the meat’s taste
richer and it will also
make it softer.
Planting teas
You can recycle tea bags for garden
use also as they enrich the soil by
increasing nitrogen levels, and they
fertilise your plants. Place the bags
on the bottom of the pots to help
retain water better when watering.

No bugs
A few tea bags can go a long way
when it comes to keeping rodents
and bugs out of your home. Simply
place them in your cupboards, pantries and other problem areas. Mint
flavours tend to work best, mice and
bugs hate peppermint.
The black tea can help you
clean the house, just add a
couple of tablespoons in hot
water and rub the dark wooden
floors to extreme shine. It
can be a chip and very effective alternative to polish your
antique wooden furniture.
Even windows and mirrors can
benefit from this solution; it is
particularly suitable for removing stains. For this purpose, it is
best to use a clean cotton cloth
and a spray bottle.

CAREER
P
eople manage their careers
in one of two ways; they
either wait for what their
company has to offer or
they make things happen. Those
who make things happen know how
to set goals. Career planning is a
never ending process and you will
probably have to reassess your plan
several times during your working life. In today’s business world
the typical person joining the work
force will have as many as five to six
different jobs by the time he or she
retires. People continue to change
and evolve throughout life, so does
the job market. Once you’ve clearly
identified what you’re looking for in
a career, you will find that there are
a number of paths that match your
skills. Akhtaboot is here to help you
plan your next best step with the following career planning tips.
planning tips
Know When It’s Time for a Change
If you feel stuck in a hole, dreading each day of work, quitting your job can be
the answer. While problems exist in any job, many employees seem to rush
into leaving their jobs before looking closely at the issues and possibilities
at hand. Leaving your job should be strategic and properly timed. As hard as
it may sound to just pack your stuff and walk out, quitting your job can be a
smart option in many cases. Remember, you’ve worked hard to create a good
name at your company, so maintain your professionalism at all times and
always leave on good terms.
Look for Learning Opportunities
Most people tend to lean towards the
familiar. This is not a bad thing as it actually gives you a sense of emotional security
with your decisions and minimizes risk
and stress. But when your comfort zone
is standing in the way of your career
advancement, you need to figure
out a way to break out of your
safe place. You always have to
look for ways to develop your
current skills and knowledge and
make sure they’re current. The
area outside your comfort zone
is simply a learning zone. When
you learn new skills or gain different experiences, you are simply stretching the boundaries of
your comfort zone out to include
that new area.

Measure Your
Progress
Seek out a Mentor
Great mentors can be found in a variety of places, and you can even look outside your current workplace. Before seeking out mentors, you need to identify
your specific expectations and the role you want the mentor to play in your
career. Choosing someone who shares your values and who works in the same
industry as you are is a good option. Test the waters by asking for advice. Don’t
hesitate to reveal as much of yourself as possible. Mentors are most likely to
show interest in those in whom they see a little of themselves.
As you climb the corporate ladder, you need
to assess your progress
periodically. Think
about your short-term
and long-term professional objectives. You
may have started your
job right after university. Now you have a lot of
experience; more than
what your job requires.
Think of ways to utilize
your newly acquired
experiences at your current job. You should feel
a sense of personal and
professional satisfaction in what you do.

HEALTH NEWS
Eating disorders are real, complex, and devastating conditions that can have serious
consequences for health, productivity, and relationships. They are not a fad, phase, or
a lifestyle choice. An eating disorder is characterized when eating, exercise and body
weight or shape become an unhealthy preoccupation of someone’s life.
While women are more commonly affected by eating disorders, men can and do
develop eating disorders as well. Although the age group
most at risk from developing eating disorders is between 12
and 20, anyone can be affected as it can happen at any age.
Their physical warning signs include: rapid weight loss, loss
of menstruation in girls, signs of damage due to induced
vomiting such as calluses on knuckles, and feeling cold
most of the time. Behavioral and psychological warning
signs include: preoccupation with eating, food, body
shape and weight, feeling anxious or “out of control”
around meal times, excessive exercise, unnecessary
dieting, use of laxatives, and obsessive rituals
around food preparation and eating. There is no
known way to prevent eating disorders, but early
treatment may be the best way to keep the
disorder from progressing. Knowing the early
signs and seeking treatment right away can
help prevent both emotional and physical
health complications as well as increase the
likelihood of recovery. If you think a loved
one has an eating disorder, express your
concerns in a caring manner and kindly but
firmly encourage the person to seek trained
professional help.

LAKES & VOLCANOES
READ. FEBRUARY 15 - 21, 2015
A
t this time of year, people
desire going on vacation for several reasons.
Also, now is a great time
to discover the beautiful country
of Nicaragua, thanks to its pleasant
temperature. This wedge-shaped
country boasts extraordinary landscape of volcanoes, lakes, mountains and vast swathes of rainforest
– which helps make it the country a
favourite amongst travel enthusiasts.
Nicaragua will not disappoint you
as it offers some heavyweight tourist
attractions. And if you’re a nature
lover, you’re about to experience a
natural paradise. There’s a lot you can
do in the largest country of Central
America, so prepare for a once-in-alifetime adventure.
BOBADILLA CROSS ON VOLCÁN MASAYA
LAGUNA DE MASAYA
The Spaniards said this was the
gate to hell, and put the Bobadilla
cross (named for the priest who
planted it) atop a now sadly inaccessible cliff. Volcán Masaya is the
most heavily venting volcano in
Nicaragua, and in a more litigious
nation there is no way you would
ever be allowed to drive up to the lip
of a volcanic cone as volatile as the
Santiago crater.
But you have to go. Masaya is
already inside the volcano, an enormous and ancient crater called El
Ventarrón, with a barely perceptible
rim that runs from Ticuantepe to
Masatepe, and around the Laguna
de Masaya. Try to arrive in the after-
1888 MERCADO ARTESANÍAS
noon, when the crater’s thousands
of chocoyos (parakeets) return to
their nests in the crater walls, apparently unharmed by the billowing
toxic gases.
The 1888 Mercado Artesanías is
a somewhat incongruous, blackbasalt Gothic structure with a
Spanish-fortress motif, including
turrets, towers and oversized gates.
Despite a major fire in 1966, it was
used as a regular market until 1978,
when Somoza’s Guardia Nacional all
but leveled it. Today it’s a wonderful
place to stroll, with attractive booths
separated by wide and breezy
walkways, showcasing the highestquality crafts in the country.

hese aren’t just any numbers; these are numbers
that talk... Talk about the
massively popular festival
that is the Emirates Airline Dubai
Jazz Festival.
“We’re not selling concerts; we’re
selling a memorable atmosphere,”
this is what Anthony Younes said
when asked about the Dubai Jazz
Festival. “People they love to be associated with jazz,” this is according to
the co-founder and CEO of organisers Chill Out Productions.
It’s safe to say that anyone who
does not know about this festival
must be living under a rock. Having been around for the last thirteen
years, Dubai Jazz Festival is the
longest running music festival in the
region and has certainly made a mark
in the music and arts industry in
Dubai. “The 13th edition of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2015
JAMES BLUNT
promises to be yet another one-of-akind experience for fans and artists
alike. The festival represents a return
to where it all started in 2003 at Media City. We are thoroughly excited
by what is in store under the event’s
new theme, ‘A Unique Take On Music,
Art and Lifestyle’,” said Anthony.
The 3-day event will showcase performances from world class artists,
Anthony talks about the performers saying that, “Besides Esperanza
Spalding being jazz, Lindsey Sterling
is a new age kind of jazz, Christina
Perri is a mix of soul and rock. Most
of the artists that we are bringing in
the likes of James Blunt who promised to do something jazzy, Sting
who plays jazz and John Legend who
plays something more of a classic
jazz.” Furthermore he says that the
“jazz element is still there and for
them to accept to play in a Jazz Festival, it means they have that jazz roots
in their blood. So Jazz is still
there, even if we’re bringing
in the big names.”
Anthony is confident
about the festival expecting around 30, 000 fans to
gather together in DMC
venue, when asked why,
he positively said that, “I
know for a fact we sold
probably around
2,000 to 3,000
tickets before
announcing the
artists.” He goes
on to say that
those people, “are
the biggest fans of
the Jazz Festival.
They will come
whoever is performing.” The festival is set to stage
at the Dubai Media
City Amphitheatre,
where it all started
back in 2003,
Anthony says that
the “venue here
can take up to 15,000
but we stop at 12,000.
We don’t want people to
be crashing into each
other.” Furthermore
he explains that, “we
always cater the jazz
festival in a way
that it is a relaxed
atmosphere,
this is how
CHRISTINA PERRI
we want
to keep
it.”
JOHN LEGEND
We asked if the audience should
expect something new this year
and according to Anthony, they are
“expecting something really exciting,
the ‘All of Me’ song of John Legend
is going to be performed for the first
time in an oriental, Middle Eastern
arrangement or composition.” When
asked to elaborate, he says, “It was
composed by the famous Lebanese
composer Jean Marie Riachi, it’s
something amazing and one that
people should look forward to as its
going to be the finale song of John
Legend’s concert. So it’s basically a
mix of oriental music and jazz.”
Also in addition to that, music
lovers don’t need to wait for the day
of the event to indulge themselves in
the wonderful world of jazz, as the
festival is expanding its reach into the
whole city. This year welcomes the
Urban Sessions, a combination of the
best dining and music in Dubai, with
participating restaurants like Jazz@
PizzaExpress, Frankie’s Italian, Up on
the Tenth Jazz Bar & Trader Vic’s Souk
Madinat. All of these can be experienced on the nights leading up to the
festival from the 19th until the 27th.
With the event only days away, Chill
Out Productions is now busy preparing for the festival to make it a memorable experience for all of us. Anthony
would like to remind the audience
that “the parking in Dubai Media City
is very limited. So we want to address
to everyone, please use public transportation.” Besides that, the event
welcomes everyone to celebrate the
music of Jazz and to come and enjoy a
relaxing musical atmosphere.

omfortable and trackready, the Hyundai
Genesis Coupe is one of
the better performancecar picks if you’re on a tight budget.
Hyundai has continued to update the
Genesis Coupe, making it much more
attractive to car enthusiasts around
the world. As I got the chance to
get behind the wheel of the Genesis
Coupe, I felt as if I was driving a real
sports car. Not only that, but another
thing I also noticed is that it has stolen the attention of many drivers and
pedestrians on the road. The vehicle
boasts an impressive V6-powered
DRIVE
3.8-litre engine with direct injection,
bumping output to 348 horsepower
and 295 lb-ft of torque.. As for the exterior, Hyundai has focused more on
adding standard features, like heated
mirrors and fog lights. Not to forget
the sharp and the aggressive front
fascia which gives it a personality
that’s far removed from anything else
in the Hyundai lineup. On the inside
we see a new cloth interior scheme,
and the performance dials on the
center-stack that show instant torque
and mpg. Unlike some other sports
car, the back seats are actually usable, and the trunk space isn’t too bad
either. As you drive on the roads, the
Genesis Coupe pulls it all together on
the road, with the suspension providing excellent feedback and those
bright-red Brembo brakes can bring
the Genesis to a stop in a hurry. If you
want a high-value, high-style, highpower, high-grip 2-door, definitely
check out the Genesis Coupe.
Lexus NX: An urban
athlete on the road
The latest offering by Lexus, the NX has just been launched; get all the insight that you need for
this beauty straight from Lexus Chief Engineer Takeaki Kato, who delves deep into the details.
By Danielle Hosri
W
hat is Lexus NX all
about?
The Lexus NX is a
vehicle that everyone
aspires to. The car is like an urban
athlete or like a football player. We
wanted the Lexus NX to be the leader
dominating the field, with energy,
power, agility, and skill. It is for
people who want to stand out from
the regular crowd. Of course, Lexus
newly developed a great engine, but
power is just one factor, and handling
is another, maybe an even bigger
factor. The NX is here to offer full
driving pleasure. We also wanted the
speakers to be good. People have
always loved this vehicle thanks to
its beautiful signature design. The
car doesn’t only perform; it leads,
just like a top athlete. At Lexus, as
you know, we believe in the pursuit
of perfection. An athlete keeps his
eyes on the ball. But at the same time
he has to be aware of every detail on
the field. That’s what the Lexus NX is
about.
Is now the right time for such an
SUV style?
This vehicle now competes in a
segment that is the fastest growing
global style of luxury in the world.
Still relatively small, but a lot of
growth is going to take place over the
next ten years, so we feel like we got
it running at the right time.
Look at the target audience we have.
We are talking about an entry level
vehicle in the market, who provides
this much content and packaging
into an entry segment? And I think
that is for us what makes us very
competitive.
The car has a more distinctive style,
like a more sporty style, so people
expected a rather dynamic performance based on this style, so we
focused not only on the design, but
also the performance.
It’s okay to have a car that looks
distinctive, but it has to perform. If
it looks fast, it has to be fast. Do you
think you can deliver that?
I think we’ve done a wonderful job
of taking this incredible design and
packaging it with something that
provides segment leading performace. It may not be the fastest and it
may not be this or that, but when you
put it all together into one package,
I think you’re going to see that this
is the best overall vehicle in the segment, because it provides everything.
I think the team has done a wonderful job spending time on tracks and
roads all over the worlds developing the product to make sure that it
delivers a good performance.
This vehicle is an experience, it
appeals to all your senses. Lexus is
proud of it, and I am proud of it, and
eventually you will be proud of it.
The NX changes the game, it’s the
very first no compromise SUV. Urban
and athletic, it has the right stuff. The
design of the NX is low and warm. It’s
sophisticated, classy, and muscular,
all at the same time. From any angle,
this vehicle is young, energetic and
dynamic. It stands out from the
crowd and its drivers will too. Inside
is all about luxury and comfort. The
cockpit, and it is a cockpit, looks as
good as it feels, offering sheer driving
pleasure. The most authentic materials, including real leather are used for
the ultimate vehicle. The driver will
simply love the NX.

B
MW has launched its new 2
Series Active Tourer, which
has grown an extra row of

Gran Tourer is a front-wheel drive,
seven-seat people-carrier and is set
to debut at the Geneva show in early
March. The German Automaker has
described it as a new vehicle segment.
At 179.4 inches long, 70.9 inches wide,
and 63.3 inches tall, it is both longer
and taller than the Active Tourer, or

any times we have to go through the rest of the day without our phones due to them running out of battery. And unfortunately, that might get
you in some sort of trouble. Portable chargers might be a life saviour in such a case, however the problem with them is that you still need to plug
them into a wall socket to gain a charge. But thanks to mother nature, Kraftwerk has found another way to handle that. It is a fuel-based handheld portable generator that has launched as a Kickstar project. Kraftwerk is essentially a tiny power plant you can hold in your hand to produce
electricity. Its USB plugin charges hand-held devices, such as smartphones or cameras. All you need to do to get this working is to insert a small amount of
standard lighter gas, then plug your device into the single USB port and it will start charging. To produce electricity, the fuel cells covert chemical energy into
electrical energy, delivering 2 watts of continuous output with a peak power output of 10 watts.

Good response to DAST 2015
120 submissions made for Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport; a 44 per cent rise over last year’s participation.
AWARDS
DAST is viewed as a
practical manifestation of
the RTA’s strategy geared
towards enhancing its
vision of providing safe
and smooth transport for
all in keeping with the
ongoing development in
Dubai spanning business,
economic, tourist and
real estate sectors, among
others. This initiative is a
key step towards inviting
the business sector,
government departments,
quasi-government
bodies and private
organisations to team
up with the RTA’s efforts
aimed at stepping up the
integration of various
mass transit means.”
The number of nominations made
to the Dubai Award for Sustainable
Transport (DAST) has topped 120
nominations from public, semi-public and private entities in the UAE,
as received by the higher organising
committee of the award.
Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younes,
Chairperson of the DAST higher
organising committee and CEO of
Strategy & Corporate Governance at
the Roads and Transport Authority
(RTA), expressed satisfaction with
the considerable hike in the number
of submissions made for the award,
noting that it represented a 44 per
cent increase over last year’s figure.
“From inception, the DAST higher
organising committee has been
endeavouring to uplift its business
processes in keeping with the massive upswing in the RTA’s projects
and initiatives, besides broadening
the scope of participation in the
award by enticing the largest possible
number of public and semi-public
entities as well as private businesses
in the UAE to contribute to leveraging the sustainable development
drive in the UAE, side by side with
the RTA’s efforts on this score.

“DAST is viewed as a practical manifestation of the RTA’s strategy geared
towards enhancing its vision of providing safe and smooth transport for
all in keeping with the ongoing development in Dubai spanning business,
economic, tourist and real estate
sectors, among others. This initiative is a key step towards inviting the
business sector, government departments, quasi-government bodies and
private organisations to team up with
the RTA’s efforts aimed at stepping
up the integration of various mass
transit means,” added Younes.
“The DAST higher organising committee announced earlier this year
the introduction of a new category
to the award – smart transportation
apps – which caters to all initiatives
and practices relating to smart applications of sustainable transport
with the objective of developing new
concepts enriching the award and
ultimately contributing to broadening and uplifting the standing of the
award in serving mass transportation
in general and sustainable transport
in particular.
“Through launching this award,
the RTA intends to hit a number of
targets, including educating and
encouraging individuals and social
organisations to play an active and
positive role in supporting and assisting the realisation of its objectives
in developing the infrastructure and
means of public transport, and showcasing the leading role of the RTA
in bolstering the partnership and
cooperation between various entities
and strategic partners in the field of
transport, safety and conserving the
environment,” he added.
“The award also seeks to enhance the
importance of sustainable transport
to make it part of the key concerns
of various business organisations,
raise the awareness and embed the
sense of responsibility and initiative amongst various community
segments, particularly firms and
establishments, foster successful initiatives in the fields of mobility, safety
and environment and spread them
across the business community, and
motivate the creativity, pioneering
spirit and the initiative in a host of
mobility aspects to maximise the
benefit of all parties,” Younes added.
Registration for various categories
of DAST can be completed through
simple steps via the portal of the
award, thus saving much time and
effort of participants, and boosting the smart government practices
advocated by Dubai Government as
a means of streamlining all customer
processes.

oto Wolff is hoping for
Lewis Hamilton to sign a
new contract with Mercedes before the kickoff
of the 2015 season in Australia on
March 15. The 2014 world champion
is in the final 12 months of his three-
year deal with the Silver Arrows before
becoming a free agent at the end of the
season. Last year, there were talks over
Hamilton extending his partnership
with Mercedes, however the 30-yearold has decided earlier this month to
put contract talks on hold around the
time of the Russian Grand Prix to
keep his focus on the title challenge.
Mercedes chief Wolff has admitted
that he wants the situation resolved
within the next month, although
states that there is no deadline for
finalising the talks.
Aiming high
N
asser Hussain has claimed
that England must not just
aim to qualify from their
World Cup group, but rather
try to achieve one of the top spots in
order to avoid a quarter-final meeting with South Africa. England were
placed in Pool A, which means they
are along with tournament co-hosts,
Australia and New Zealand, and Sri
Lanka. All they require is to finish
above Bangladesh, Afghanistan and
Scotland in order to qualify, and if they
manage to qualify high they would
most likely avoid meeting South Africa
from Pool B and face India, Pakistan,
or West Indies instead. Hussain stated
“England have got a good chance at
this World Cup because of the group
they’re in, But they’ll have to avoid
South Africa in the knockout stage.”
The STRUGGLE is real
GOES ON
T
iger Woods
has announced
that he will
take an indefinite
break due to what he
called an unacceptable performance
for tournament play.
The 39-year-old
withdrew injured
from last week’s
event at Torrey Pines
after just 12 holes.
“I need a lot of work
on my game, and
to spend time with
people that are
important to me,”
said Woods. “I enter
a tournament to
compete at the highest level, and when
I think I’m ready,
I’ll be back.” the 14time major winner
has withdrawn from
three of his last eight
competitive tournaments.

Angelina Jolie opens centre

The Unbroken actress has opened a centre at the London
School of Economics to help women who are victims of
violence in warzones. She said: “If you were to ask me
who I think this Centre is for, I picture someone who
is not in this room today. I think of a girl I met in Iraq
three weeks ago. She is 13 years old, but instead of going
to school, she sits on the floor in a makeshift tent. Now
she may never be able to complete her education, or get
married or have a family, because in her society victims
of rape are shunned, and considered shameful. To my
mind, what we have begun today at London School of
Economics is for that Iraqi girl and others like her.”
Jon Stewart to leave The Daily Show
“A wonderful movie portraying
the effects of war”
A film that unravels a different
side of war, The Testament of
Youth is nothing short of telling
a worthwhile story. Derived from
the pages of Vera Brittain’s war
memoir by the same name, the
words come to life with the help
of producer David Heyman who
is also the one behind box office
hits Harry Potter, Gravity and I
am Legend. Directed by James
Kent, the movie tells the story of
Vera Brittain’s encounter with the
effects of World War I. It follows
how Vera postpones her studies
at Oxford University to serve as a
Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse
in London and abroad. After
the war she returns to Oxford to
read history and later becomes a
writer, feminist and pacifist.

REVIEW
Jon Stewart recently announced today that he will be leaving The Daily Show
after 16 years as host. Although he has yet to confirm his final appearance,
the comedian will be stepping down later this year. The news was confirmed
via Twitter with a statement from Comedy Central that states, ““For the better
part of the last two decades, we have had the incredible honor and privilege
of working with Jon Stewart, his comedic brilliance is second to none. Jon
has been at the heart of Comedy Central, championing and nurturing the
best talent in the industry, in front of and behind the camera.”

news
The author and protagonist of the
story is played by Swedish actress
Alicia Vikander, who gave a stellar
performance on portraying the
character. The unraveling of the
story is on point but could have
used a lot less unneeded scenes,
in order to shorten the length of
the film. The cinematography was
remarkable and so was the script
and how the actors delivered it.
This is definitely a movie that
would require for you to sit down
and absorb each and every detail.
Model and actress Gauahar Khan,
who hogged the limelight with her
dance performance in the song Jhalla
Walla from Ishaqzaade, now wants
be selective with her work and is
open to doing more dance numbers.
According to Khan, “Right now I am
doing selective work. I don’t want
to do just a song. People love me for
my dance and I hope that something
great comes up.” Furthermore she
shares that, “If I get a really interesting
dance number, I will definitely want
to do it,” the model first showcased
her dancing skills in reality show
Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Meanwhile, the
former Bigg Boss winner is also set to
make her acting debut with Rajeev
Jhaveri’s film Fever.

You’re trying to get a
jump on the week. You
want to get as much done as possible, and to get ahead without making
it look like you’re trying too hard.
After all, wouldn’t it be great for your
reputation if you could make magic
happen and not break a sweat?
Some travel plans are
getting finalized (you
can’t wait!), someone who thinks
they’re much smarter than you concedes that you were right and they
were wrong about something and
someone you’ve never understood
explains their side of things.
Nothing is as it seems.
You can tell something’s
up, but that doesn’t help you. Try to
draw people out, but don’t work too
hard at it. Go into the week with an
open mind, because something radical is under way, and you’re going to
find out about it.

You don’t particularly
feel like engaging with
the rest of the world. It’s all so exhausting and the possibility of being
misunderstood is great. Balance is key,
especially the balance between caring
what other people think and not worrying about what other people think.
Something flippant and
funny and just a little
biting might really rattle someone,
even if you’re absolutely, obviously
kidding. Offhand comments have a
way of sinking into people, and you
don’t want people you adore walking
around slightly damaged by you.
This week is your reward
for weeks of doing good
for the world; a sudden surge of great
stuff heads your way, most likely in
the form of romance and creative inspiration. Oh, happy days! You’re still
walking on air. You’re perhaps even
nicer to people than usual.

This week is kind of
gloomy, but not in a very
noticeable way. It’s more like an afterthought, a not-all-that-distracting
feeling. Mostly you just feel unbalanced. But don’t worry, because on
later on, the feeling evaporates in the
heat of a romantic bender.
This week draws on
your powers of determination and self-control. You’re
under intense scrutiny at work, for
whatever reason. In any case, you
work incredibly well with other people. This may explain why everyone
wants to be on your side.
You find your outlook
affected by the amount of
money in your wallet. You have a desire to keep more of it in there. It’s true
that no amount of money can buy
you a good time; even a day skiing in
the most fantastic setting of all would
be for naught if you weren’t into it.

This week is pretty
much what you always
want in your workdays: lots getting
done, a happy outlook, high energy,
recognition in the areas where you
deserve it. Of course, the compliments from your good friends are the
ones that mean the most.
Every fiber in your
being is telling you
to
climb out of the cockpit and onto the
wing to repair any problems. But you
know full well that you can’t climb
out of the cockpit and fix the wing
— you’ll get sucked into outer space!
You have to keep flying the thing.
You become the point
person in a group; it
could be anyone. The reason you’re
perceived as a good person for
everyone else to follow? It’s because
you seem to be someone who knows
other people, including influential
people, important people.
