EarthLink Business Hosted Voice Business Group Administrator Training Proprietary and Confidential 1 Welcome! • Welcome to EarthLink Business! • This training will help you to get comfortable with being the administrator for your new Hosted Voice solution • There are a vast number of features you have the ability to control yourself through the administrator portal Proprietary and Confidential Resources • Customer Information Portal – There are a number of resources posted to this website including phone guides and portal training – Direct your users here to find more information – www.earthlinkbusiness.com/hostedvoice • CommPortal – Online portal to manage your voicemail, contacts, and call features, i.e. Find-Me/FollowMe – https://voip.elnk.us • Customer Care – 855 352.2731 Proprietary and Confidential Administrator Capabilities • EarthLink Business’ Hosted Voice solution puts the control back into your hands to make the day to day changes necessary to keep the business going • You can access the administrator portal anywhere you can get an Internet connection • The Customer Information Portal has an in depth guide, Business Group Administrator Guide, that will walk you through any change in an easy step by step explanation Proprietary and Confidential Business Group Admin Portal • Business Group Admin Portal is an on-line portal that allows you to make the following changes: – Manage features and phones for your business – Set up Account Codes – Modify Hunt Groups or MADNs (Simultaneous Ring Groups)* – Set up Call Pickup Groups – Manage Music on Hold • *Please note on Hunt Groups and MADNs the Pilot Number must be built by EarthLink Business before you can set these up or modify them Proprietary and Confidential Logging into Admin Portal • Go to https://voip.elnk.us/bg • You will be prompted for: – Number • This is your telephone number – Password • This is the same as the PIN you use to login to voicemail • These will be the same as you use to log into your CommPortal Proprietary and Confidential Basics of Admin Portal • First page you will see when you login is the Lines page Help section will dynamically change based on the page you are currently using Navigate to the specific action you are looking to take Proprietary and Confidential Lines Allows you to search for users by any field Allows you to open the user’s CommPortal to review settings. NOTE: You will be able to see the user settings, but NOT any messaging Proprietary and Confidential Phones Unique hardware identifier, it can be found on the back of the phone Description of the phone that is currently in use Proprietary and Confidential Click here to Manage Phone Profiles The user’s telephone number Manage Phone Profiles Step 1: Select the phone model you would like to edit Step 2: Click on Edit to modify the phone Proprietary and Confidential Phone Buttons to Modify Not all buttons on the phone can be modified. Buttons in BLUE can be modified and buttons in RED cannot. The color will show when you put your mouse over the button you are trying to modify. Once you have completed the changes, select ‘Save changes’ Proprietary and Confidential MADN Main Page (Sim Ring Group) Pilot Number of the MADN, please note this must be configured by EarthLink Business Number of phones that will ring in the MADN Proprietary and Confidential Configure the MADN MADN Line Page Remove Lines Step 1: Select Boxes Remove Lines Step 2: Click Here Add New Lines Proprietary and Confidential MADN Other Settings If you would like to change anything on the Other Settings tab call 1.855.EL.CARE.1 Proprietary and Confidential MLHG Main Page (Hunt Group) Multi-Line Hunt Groups will interact the same way the MADN Groups do only difference is Simultaneous Ring versus Hunting Proprietary and Confidential Call Pick Up Groups Settings tab lets you change the name of the group Remove Lines Step 1: Select Boxes Remove Lines Step 2: Click Here Add New Lines Proprietary and Confidential Short Codes • Short codes can be assigned for the department for commonly dialed numbers Remove Lines Step 1: Select Boxes Remove Remove Codes Lines StepClick 2: Click HereHere Proprietary and Confidential Number that you are creating the code for Add Codes Click Here Extensions Remove Extensions Step 1: Select Boxes Remove Remove Codes Extensions Click Here Step 2: Click Here Proprietary and Confidential Number that you are creating the code for Add Extensions Click Here Departments Select the link to modify your Department Pilot Number of the MADN group should be used to login to CommPortal To add a New Department Proprietary and Confidential Blocks specific call types of out going calls Account Codes Determines which calls are allowed to be dialed without a code If a call is required then what are the parameters of the codes Proprietary and Confidential Call Logs Call Logs allows you to see the call activity for their responsible business group or selected departments.
