Trip to the Charlotte Processing Center to Volunteer
We have confirmed our reservation to Volunteer at the Processing
Center in Charlotte Saturday, December 12, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The
youth have to be 13 to work there, since it's a working warehouse. We
will go down Friday evening and stay at a hotel. The hotel we stayed at
last year was very nice, suites that could sleep up to 6 people. The cost
was $99.00 a night. You need to bring money for food also, and we may
try to go to the mall (Bass Pro and Lego store) while we are there.
It's a great experience to see more of the impact the shoe boxes
have, and hear from shoe box recipients while working.
For more info, email me at kjdeffner@yahoo.com or call me at 5349333 or 229 0235.
