Facility tours and boot camp demos will be available throughout the event. All guests are welcome to participate in the boot camp demo. Please come dressed in your fitness gear (changerooms also available). Merchandise (equipment, clothing, etc.) will be on sale during the event at a special “no tax” rate. Anyone volunteering to set up for the Grand Opening Celebration is asked to come to the new dojo on Friday, January 15th @ 7pm to set up for Saturday’s event. Page 3 Aiki Canada Newsletter, January 2016 Important Notice: Fee Changes *Please note the new fee structure below, effective February 1st. Monthly fees will be increasing as of February 1. Effective February 1, fees will now be due by the first of the month unless another date has been pre-arranged with Sensei Norm Harrison. Fees submitted after the first may be subject to a late charge. In addition, a new structure is being implemented to allow students to pre-pay on a quarterly or annual basis while reaping savings benefits by paying in advance. Payment can be made by cash, debit*, credit card, e-transfer or post-dated cheques (for monthly payments only). (*Debit payment option is only available at the new Hirokawa Dojo. All other payment options are available at both Dojo locations.) Please note: There will be a $25 NSF fee for cheques returned with insufficient funds. January student fees will be prorated. Please see Kancho Sensei for fees due for January. Reminder: The annual administrative/insurance fee for kids is $25, for youth/adults is $35. Please see Sensei Norm Harrison for questions related to fees. Save the Date: Kagami Biraki 2016 A celebration of renewal Kagami Biraki is a traditional Japanese New Year celebration observed by many martial arts schools. It symbolizes unity in the theme of renewal, rededication and spirit. It is a time for our members and families to come together and celebrate the accomplishments of our students while supporting them on the journey ahead. Aiki Canada has proudly celebrated Kagami Biraki for the past several years. This year’s celebration will be held on February 13th. Please stay tuned for more details. Aiki Canada Wellness Centre Seeks New Talent We are excited to offer several new fitness and wellness services to the community including Zumba, Yoga and Massage Therapy. In order to provide the best experience to our members, we continue to be on the lookout for exceptional fitness instructors specializing in Zumba or Yoga as well as Registered Massage Therapists. If you know of any talented individuals fitting this description, please ask them to forward their resume to norm@aikicanada.com or call Sensei Norm at 905.436.3224.
