January,2015 - Citrus Park
January 2015
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
May you have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2015!
Our winter season is now in full swing and traffic has become very heavy. We would like
to remind everyone that our speed limit throughout the community is 15 mph. Please
remember children under the age of sixteen (16) are not permitted to drive golf carts
without the accompaniment of an adult. Please try to stay off the main roads whenever
possible.
Please be advised that two (2) vehicles are allowed to be parked on your site. This does
not include your golf cart. In the RV Section you are permitted to store one boat, canoe,
or Jet Ski up to 20ft. behind your unit. If you have a driveway, all vehicles must be
parked on the driveway NOT in the grass.
Important: We ask that you please NOT pick the orange trees on Trost Blvd. Thank you!!
RV residents, your renewal agreement for the 2015/16 season will be in your mailboxes
towards the end of January. Should you not be here to receive your rental agreement you
may
download
and
print
the
agreement
from
our
online
website
at
www.mycitruspark.com , it is not necessary to stop at the administration office at this
time to reserve your site for next year. We always give the current residents the first
opportunity to reserve their site for the upcoming season. We anticipate the February
reservations for our 2015/16 season will begin with Street 1 and Street 2 by February 9th.
The RV six month rental plan where your occupancy is from November 1st through May
1st will be $3,115.00 and a $1,000 deposit will be required to reserve your particular site.
With this plan your unit may be kept on or off site year around. However, if the unit is
left on site it MUST be tied down according to City and County Regulations.
Please Note; Rents in the Mobile Homes will increase to $450.00 and the Resorts will
increase to $400.00 per month to NEW incoming residents.
For any one intending to sell or transfer their home to someone else, please be advised
that Citrus Park does not refund or reimburse the difference of the unused lot rental
amounts to the seller. It is recommended that the seller consider this and perhaps
incorporate this dollar amount into the selling price. All units listed for sale must have
administration approval and the new resident must pass a criminal and background check
before Citrus Park will transfer lot/site to a new tenant. This process can be initiated with
a simple notification phone call to the administration office.
If you are in our administration lobby taking care of business, please abstain from using
your cell phone. Our lobby can get very crowded, and we strive to assist our residents as
quickly as possible. There are times when talking on the cell phone is a bit distracting and
just adds to extra noise. Thank you for your consideration.
We wish you and your families a very Happy and Healthy New Year!!

granted entry if called in to the automated line!
( medical is the exception)
NO CALL - NO ENTRY - if we need to call you
and cannot reach you they will be turned away, your
phone number at security must be the phone
registered. Our automated line is for your convenience
as well as the arriving guest. You can call from any
phone number to use your registered number and

RESIDENT LANE
If the gate does not open for you while in the resident
lane, please check to see if it’s okay to back up. If you
can, back up at least to the Stop Sign. Come to a complete Stop, and enter the lane slower. This will give the
bar code reader a better chance to scan your barcode.
The electronic keypad has been hit more than once
with lightning this summer causing the gate to remain
inoperable.
Because of this costly, continuing problem, we have
purchased a totally new system that will require a
REMOTE to open the gate for entry.
The cost of each remote will be $40.00. This will be
refunded whenever you no longer need storage usage.
All storage users must check with Bill Farmer or
Larry Thompson upon arriving to purchase their
REMOTE.
Much research has been done with other communities and a remote system seems to be the most reliable.
The compound office will be open every Tuesday from
3 PM – 5PM starting Nov 5, 2014.
Work days will be during those hours.
Contact numbers:
Bill Farmer
239-273-6308

Nancy Russell has recently joined Dr Pham and

Bonita Springs.
Nancy has provided Wellness BP clinics to our
community for several years. Podiatry clinics will
continue at our park at least once a month so watch
for sign up sheets posting dates and times. During the
podiatry clinics Nancy will be happy to do your BP as
time permits.
For any questions please contact Nancy Russell at
239-209-2772.
She looks forward to her
continued service to
our park residence.

NOTE: the calendar in the December newsletter set the time of the meeting at 12 pm. It actually starts at 2 pm. You
must have a membership card to enter.
Congratulations to our winners in the Christmas lights contest. All the decorations make the holidays away from family
so much more festive.
It’s January and there will be another influx of returning residents. Welcome back. Enjoy the season.

Citrus Park Residents,
I have learned that many new residents of Citrus Park do not know about
Tranquility Terrace, what it stands for and especially where it is.
Tranquility Terrace is in front of the gazebo on Redblush Ct. with a view
of the largest lake in Citrus Park. You are welcome to come and visit and
see what other residents of Citrus Park have said and felt. Tranquility
Terrace was created for many purposes all of which have an emotional
connection to Citrus Park, past, present and future. It is a place where
we may remember someone who has passed, to see a saying from one of
our neighbors, to see our own names and our home town, our children’s
names, a memory of our pet, or an activity in Citrus Park which we are involved with. Yes, Tranquility Terrace does serve many uses including where
holiday services and celebrations of life take place each year. For those who
have not yet purchased a brick this place makes a permanent statement of
your personal thoughts and feelings. Buying a brick says a great deal and
truly expresses some very wonderful personal emotions. Join many of your
neighbors who have placed a brick in Tranquility Terrace with a message
for eternity. I will begin taking brick orders starting May 1, 2014. Anyone
interested please contact me.
*Guidelines and Cost:*
$100.00 puts your message on a 4x8 inch brick with three (3) lines of text
limited to 18 characters per line.
$160.00 puts your message on an 8x8 inch brick with six (6) lines of text
limited to 18 characters per line.
$10.00 additional fee will be charged for any graphics.

Gospel Sing
The next gospel sing will be Sunday January 11 at the
clubhouse at 7-8 pm. Come and join us whether you like
to sing or just listen to good old gospel songs. We usually have between 100-150. Don't be shy it is easy to hide
in the crowd. We have a great pianist, usually a talented
musical guest or two and maybe a story that will bring a
smile. It is free. We do pass the hat to cover expenses of
pianist and any guests we might have. If you have been
to one before bring someone with you. If you have never
been bring someone with you. If you can't come, send a
sub. Hope to see you there.
