He started his training at Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, Arizona, where he learned to build electric and acoustic guitars. Upon arrival in Vancouver, B.C., Don also apprenticed under Attila Balough (founder of Odyssey Guitars). Don has been a BCIT instructor for 18 years.
