naomi silas naomisilas.com | c. 616.710.0459 These are a Layers™ logo comps that I made while I was working at GE Healthcare. Layers is a computer software for the use in analyzing specimens for diagnosing cancer. They wanted to showcase the features of the software. This is a conceptual graphic that I created for the EHS Department at Glidewell Laboratories, to promote their Rideshare program. This graphic was used in the EHS Newsletter, Job Fairs, on the intranet and around the campus at Glidewell. I wrote the copy as well as designed the graphic, since sustainability is a passion of mine. This was a freelance project I did for a friends new business. I was excited to hear that a customer decided to take a tour with Buzz Nola because of the logo! The Customer Service Manager tasked me to create concepts for an internal event to celebrate the wonderful customer service team. This is a logo I did while working at GE Healthcare. Project GROW is a marketing initiative within GE Healthcare. GROW is an acronym for Grow, Realize, Optimize, Win. I tried to encompass all those values into this logo. Creating logos for GE, also provide a challenge of using the GE Inspira font only. So, you have to really try to think outside of the box in order to come up with something different. FORMUZIS PICKERSGILL & HUNT INC. ECONOMIC CONSULTANTS This is a branding project I did for Formuzis, Pickersgill & Hunt Inc. They are economic consultants and most of their clients are lawyers or law firms so they wanted to mantain a clean cooperate look. These weren’t the final designs but they were my favorite. It’s funny how that works. GreenWorld Services tasked us with creating new business cards for each of their subsidiary companies, the cards needed to be cohesive yet have their own distinction. I also had to keep all of the information from the previous card and include new information. In the end the client was very happy with the outcome. I really enjoyed the challenge of this project and am happy with my work. The Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce commisioned this map. It’s a useful tool for getting around Lake Forest, California. It contains city information and demographics, as well as locations of all the parks and shopping that the city has to offer! This is a leave behind design for a National Tradeshow SABCS 2012. I also worked on an interactive presentation app for this tradeshow. I designed these are tradeshow graphics for ASH 2012. The American Society of Hematology, an annual meeting and exposition. I had to follow the extensive GE Healthcare Tradeshow Brand Standards and Guidelines. Perfect Bum is a subsidiary company of Cocalo Inc. (Nusery Collections, etc.) Perfect Bum is a reusable diaper system that was launched late 2011. At the time, Perfect Bum was launched, Cocalo was rebranding and the website needed to be updated with Cocalo’s new logo and colors. I redesigned the top/logo/navigation area. Using a custom content management system, I also did regular maintenance on both Cocalo.comand PerfectBum.com (adding/deleting pages and updating product images/content). While working at Glidewell Laboratories I worked with a copywriter to start series of Infographics called “Chew on this:”. These were for social media sites such as Pinterest and Facebook. I designed the original landing page and website for PanaceaSportsMedicine.com. This is a brochure for the Orangewood Children’s foundation’s Legacy Society. This quad-fold is for people who want to leave money for the foundation in their will. Clairent Diagnostic Services was at pivotal point when I was brought on board. They had been aquired by GE Healthcare, and all their lituratre needed to be rebranded to the GE Healthcare Brand Standards and Guidlines. There wasn’t a lot of wiggle room. These pieces needed inherently GE Healthcare branded with a breath of the original Clairent essence that brought them to the forefront of Cancer Diagnosis. This was a long process, and in the end the design was both well received and approved with GE Healthcare.
