Food Scrip Supports our Youth Groups
Representatives from Genuardi’s and E-Scrip visited St.
Luke’s on June 2 to recognize St. Luke’s as being one of
the top earners from Escrip/Genuardi’s in the state of
Pennsylvania. St. Luke Youth Groups earned $6,600 in
2007 from participation in Genuardi’s E-Scrip Program.
Genuardi’s is just one of our local merchants who support
our Youth Groups. O’Neill’s, Acme, Giant, Path Mark,
Shop-N-Bag and Shoprite also make contributions to our
Youth Groups
through sale of their store Food
Certificates. For information about the program, contact
Cathy Berry at the Rectory, 215-572-0128. Food
Certificates are for sale in the Rectory, and after most
masses.

Business Leaders Organized
for Catholic Schools (BLOCS)
St. Luke School was invited to participate in
this year’s BLOCS Gala by creating a
centerpiece which represents an aspect of
the program, and how it benefits our
Catholic Schools. Mrs. Kelly Gaynor,
Kindergarten teacher, collaborated with a
group of St. Luke Students to create the
work. The centerpiece, pictured, is a tree,
each leaf of which represents one of our 192
Archdiocesan elementary schools. St. Luke
School is one of the top schools
participating in the BLOCS scholarship
program, securing $52,000 this year alone
in scholarship money designated
specifically for St. Luke School. For more
information on BLOCS, please contact Beth
Stieritz in the Development Office 215-5720128 or Development@StLukeRC.org.
