June 2001: Linda York, Suzanne Bart, John Wehmiller, Michelle Bart, on the occasion of Suzanne’s graduation (BS, Chemistry) from UD. Both Michelle and Suzanne worked in the UD amino acid lab during their undergraduate years. Wes Wehmiller, John Wehmiller, and Abe Wehmiller: July 1981, at Plateau Point in the Grand Canyon These special graduate students gathered in August 2005 to run an Armstrong Foundation 5k in Wilmington DE. They ran on behalf of Wes Wehmiller, who died of cancer in January 2005. Funds raised were donated to the Wes Wehmiller scholarship at Berklee College of Music. Valerie was always encouraging the Wehmiller’s to get a dog, and during the spring when Valerie was writing and defending her thesis, this wonderful Golden named Tyler became a member of the Wehmiller family.
