Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are
accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s
trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch
party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued
by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the
super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape
permanent and live the high life forever more!
When body image activist Taryn Brumfitt posted an unconventional before-andafter photograph in 2013, it was seen by more than 100 million worldwide and
sparked an international media frenzy. In her forceful debut, Brumfitt continues her
crusade exploring the global issue of body loathing. She travels the world to
interview an impressive range of women about their attitudes to their bodies,
including: Mia Freedman, the youngest ever editor of the Australian edition of
Cosmopolitan; Adelaide researcher Professor Marika Tiggemann; UK talk show
host/photographer Amanda de Cadenet; body image blogger Jess Baker (a.k.a.
The Militant Baker); and motivational speaker Turia Pitt.

In this new comedy from the writers of The Hangover, Amy has a seemingly
perfect life – a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a
career. However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the
point that she’s about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other
over-stressed moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional
responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue
freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with
PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.
‘Poi E’, a simple song with a catchy beat released 32 years ago, has become
New Zealand’s unofficial national anthem. With humour, energy and emotion,
the movie POI E is the story of how that iconic song gave pride to generations of New Zealanders. From Taika Waititi giving Stan Walker his quirky
take on life in the 1980s to Patea Maori Club members’ straight-talking and
funny memories of the song’s visionary originator Dalvanius Prime, director
Tearepa Kahi (Mt Zion) captures a unique story that taps into the heart of the
nation.

The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company Live cinema season continues with a
new vision of Shakespeare’s heartbreaking tale of forbidden love. Branagh
and his creative team present a modern passionate version of the classic
tragedy. A longstanding feud between Verona’s Montague and Capulet families
brings about devastating consequences for two young lovers caught in the
conflict. Kenneth Branagh co-directs with Rob Ashford, reuniting with the stars
of his celebrated film of Cinderella, Richard Madden and Lily James, as
Romeo and Juliet. Also featuring Sir Derek Jacobi as Mercutio and Meera Syal
as The Nurse.
A victim of his own anger, the Kid (Prince) is a Minneapolis musician on
the rise with his band, the Revolution, escaping a tumultuous home life
through music. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his
truculent father (Clarence Williams III), the Kid navigates the club
scene and a rocky relationship with a captivating singer, Apollonia
(Apollonia Kotero). But another musician, Morris (Morris Day), looks to
steal the Kid’s spotlight — and his girl.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople tells the story of misfit kid Ricky Baker who gets a
fresh start when he is sent to live with a foster family in the New Zealand
countryside. When Ricky’s foster aunt passes away suddenly, he is left alone
with his grumpy uncle Hec and faces the threat of being shipped off to another
home. In an attempt to evade the law and child services, the unlikely duo find
themselves on the run in the vast New Zealand bush. As a national manhunt
ensues, the newly branded outlaws are forced to work together to overcome
their differences and survive as a family in this hilarious and heart-felt
adventure.
Siblings Gummi and Kiddi have been living side by side without
speaking to each other for forty years, each tending to their pedigree
ancestral flock. When communication can’t be avoided, Kiddi’s dog
Somi trots between houses carrying their handwritten notes between
his teeth. Kiddi is a boozer and brawler, a popular figure at community
get-togethers, but it’s through the eyes of his gentle younger brother
Gummi that we see him acting out.
