EBAN Congress
EBAN Congress is the best opportunity for business angel
networks’ responsible to meet, change ideas and design a
better Europe that will support investors and small
companies to trail their way into bigger markets.
Hosting such a congress is more than being only a congress
delegate but to be a part of the construction that is being
done to develop such a promising sector.
That is the reason why PME Capital and Gesventure (in
representation of the first portuguese Business Angels Club),
with the honourable and Institutional sponsorship of IAPMEI
and Câmara Municipal Cascais, intends to be next year’s
host of such a prestigious meeting.

Why Portugal?
Business angel activity in Portugal is growing as investors are
becoming more aware of the concept.
The current politics of the Portuguese Government show a strong will

consecutive
Portugal is also known for it’s warm reception and always have a good
impact on international delegates providing everyone with a relaxing
days out of the office.
For those intending to extend their stay, Portugal offers the best
programs, including sports such as golf or trecking, but also many
museums and monuments dating from the middle age or even roman
empire.

Business Angels in Portugal
Business angel activity in Portugal is growing as investors
are becoming more aware of the concept.
Government authorities are also getting more involved in the
issue, approving investment programs (FINICIA) that depend
on business angel investment and changing taxation to
attract more investors to this start-up support activity.
The recent creation of a regional business angel network is
also a good sign and recognizes the lack of players in this
capital financing stage.
