February 19-21, 2014 We are working on the Standard: ELACC2RI6: Identify the main purpose of a text, including what the author wants to answer. Our story is “Rain Forest Babies” We will be understanding nonfiction. We are working on the standard of ELACC2W2.2-Write informative texts in which they introduce a topic, use facts and definitions to develop points, and provide a concluding statement or section. We will write for two weeks on facts about Presidents for Presidents Day! In Language Arts, we are working with the standard ELACC2L1d. Form and use the past tense of frequently occurring irregular verbs (e.g., sat, hid, told). We will be working on the standard MCC2NBT5 of fluently adding and subtracting numbers within 100. We will have daily practice in class. Students will bring home their work on Thursday. We will have a test over adding and subtracting numbers within 100 on Friday. We are beginning subtracting with borrowing. February 26-Six Flags Forms Due February 27-Field Trip form due February 28-Field Trip to “Seussical” at the Cedartown Civic Auditorium ©Michelle Oakes
