Parent Involvement January is Report Card Time Soon your child will receive a report card. This mid-year report is a good time for you and your child to set goals for the rest of the year. Report card time can also cause worry for children and parents alike. Kids may worry that they aren’t living up to your expectations and parents may feel they’re not being a good parent. Here’s how you can make it positive: • Prepare your child and yourself by asking him what he thinks the report card will tell. Getting ready is helpful. • Remember that a report card is only one small measure of your child. Find something to praise and then focus on areas that can be improved. • Think of the report card as a chance to take positive action for the rest of the year. Set goals and ask how you can help. Praising and encouraging your child during report card time will help to ease worry. Setting schoolwork goals for the rest of the year lets your child know that you are there to help. KICK BUTTS DAY March 18th Meeting January 28th All are welcome!! YOUTH ALIVE! Is a faith-based, student led, group of students that meet at school. Ms. Meyer and Mr. Sunnarborg are the sponsors.
