THE ENKEBOLL GALLERY
The Enkeboll Gallery Residential Interiors of Distinction On the Cover Savage Designer Cabinets | Rocklin, CA Design | Steve Savage Photo | Bob Towery On the Cover Savage Designer Cabinets | Rocklin, CA Design | Steve Savage Photo | Bob Towery I am so pleased to present this first issue of Enkeboll Gallery to you. This important book is our tribute to the wonderfully talented select designers, architects, and homeowners who have incorporated the finest architectural carvings available, in making their unique statements. John Pujol, Enkeboll CEO Enkeboll Designs is renowned for “creating the space,” the business of producing finely detailed wood carvings for use in interior architecture. Before Enkeboll the options were few; you might be fortunate to meet that consignment of antiques just arrived from the old world, or you might have commissioned an artisan carver to create for you. Enkeboll found a way to carve the pattern – all by hand of course, and then replicate our designs using machines for the rough toil and then hand finish each piece, offering a dimensionally perfect wood carving with a character and patina all its own. For fifty one years the skillful artisans here at Enkeboll have been passionate about the enduring organic and matchless qualities of genuine carved wood detailing. No other medium is as infused with life, or is as enduring. Surveys tell us that people who surround themselves in beautiful things are quite simply, “happier!” Isn’t it true that many of the finer things in life are rewards we offer ourselves for our toil, an expression of the beauty that is in each of us? The remarkable homes captured on these pages will surely inspire you that this is the best money spent. Surrounding yourself with such striking beauty is a reward you justly deserve. Adv 10 11 imagination T The Enkeboll tradition of creating the world’s finest architectural wood carvings began in 1956 when Raymond Enkeboll’s love for art and expertise with wood led him to begin crafting distinctive furniture in Venice, California. With wood as his palette, he carved a reputation for producing designs exceptional in their individuality. Today’s high standards are rooted in these eclectic pieces, which stood apart with their rich and elaborate detail, sound and sometimes ingenious construction, and hand-burnished finishes that gave the deep carvings a patina of authenticity. 12 13 Above Opposite Designerick, Inc | Port Orange, FL Design | Ricky Ginder Photo | RICHARDCOAD.COM Eull Woodworks Inc | Saint Michael, MN Design and Crafted | Eull Woodworks Inc Photo | Greg Wanbaugh dba Wanbaugh Studios 14 15 Above Opposite Designerick, Inc | Port Orange, FL Design | Ricky Ginder Photo | RICHARDCOAD.COM Eull Woodworks Inc | Saint Michael, MN Design and Crafted | Eull Woodworks Inc Photo | Greg Wanbaugh dba Wanbaugh Studios 14 15 “Go against the grain ... think for yourself” — Raymond E.
