The Bookworm Wainwright Public Library July 2016 Jay of Happy Harbor Comics will be at Wainwright Public Library for a Comic Book Fair! There will be tons of new and exciting comic books, collections, graphic novels, manga and more! Thursday, August 4, 2016 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Looking for some fun activities to do over the summer or wondering what to read? Grab a board game sheet at WPL and start playing Summer Boardwalk! Happy Harbor will bring an artist who will sit and talk with you one-on-one! You can ask questions about your work, get tips on what tools to use, and even learn about what to do and where to go if you want to pursue a career in making art! This is a great chance to improve your skills in something you love with advice from someone who’s been where you are. Renovation work at the library is progressing as planned. Right now there is new paint, a new floor and new shelving has just been installed. Books are being moved back on the shelves….we’re so close! New features will include: more welcoming spaces, more room for programs, areas for young adults, teens and children and comfortable seating. We look forward to welcoming you to the new downstairs area soon! Your patience and co-operation are appreciated. You don’t need to do the activities in order, just finish them all for a chance to win a Mystery Prize! There will be draws for: Kids 12 and under Teens (13-17) and Adults (18+) The game starts July 1st and ends August 31st. Wainwright Public Library will be closed Monday, August 01st for the Civic Holiday. Please remember that WPL will also be closed on Saturdays during July & August till September 11.
