(56.81) February 2004 Harmony Range of Multifuel Stoves Traditional Multifuel Stoves brought to you exclusively by Euroheat Harmony The new Harmony range incorporates the revolutionary Plexus and ZR combustion technology. These features enable the stove to achieve levels of efficiency and controllability never achieved before, whether dominating the largest of rooms with heat or discreetly providing only gentle background heating for the most modest of spaces. Styled with the same classic lines as the Harmony stoves and available in the same finishes, the Harmony range brings an assured opulence to any fireplace. When burning, with either wood or coal, the stove provides a superb view of the fire making it an irresistible attraction to visitors and constant comfort to members of the household. Stove illustrated, Harmony 13 Satin Black Enamel Insert picture, Harmony 13 Cast Black 13 Harmony Peoples’ fascination with fire may be primeval, but we now accept our responsibility for world resources and the efficient use of all fuels. Whilst wood has always been regarded as a fuel, it is being brought to the forefront of ecological importance because when harvested from properly managed and sustained forests it can be regarded as the most natural way to collect and store solar energy. Combustion is simply the fastest of the many natural processes which assist the oxidization and decomposition of the fuel, returning the elements to the state they were before its formation as part of nature’s life cycle. Because it is poor and incomplete combustion which causes this cycle to become unbalanced, our stove designers are constantly researching to develop combustion techniques which are proven in their laboratories to be the finest available. The Harmony stoves incorporate the most advanced combustion systems ever developed; stoves which let you watch one of nature’s most fascinating phenomenons through the large glass windowed door; stoves bringing you as close to nature as technology allows. Stove illustrated, Harmony 23 Cast Black with Nickel Handle option Insert picture, Harmony 23 Satin Black Enamel 23 Harmony Why choose cast iron? Cast iron is synonymous with the Industrial Revolution, but the Chinese were casting iron in the sixth century B.C. and early castings dating from the fifth century B.C. still survive. The material’s ability to tolerate high temperatures without distorting had already been known for over two thousand years when Europe began casting iron in the midfifteenth century. The Europeans made use of this well understood property by choosing to produce firebacks, ovens and stove tops. Whilst today cast iron is used to manufacture crankshafts, building supports, brake discs and saucepans, it remains a material unsurpassed for stove building. Cast iron’s ability to remain stable in extremes of heat allow variations to the thickness of material to provide the optimum heat storage capacity for the stove to balance any differing heat outputs caused by reduced fire sizes when refuelling. The stove manufacturers not having achieved the capital investment needed to establish an iron foundry have either to assemble kits of bought in castings or produce stoves from welded metal plates. Stove illustrated, Harmony 33 Bottle Green Enamel Insert picture, Harmony 33 Bottle Green Enamel 33 A Giant Leap Forwa Our new range of multifuel stoves represent a giant leap forward in combustion technology. With the minimum of supervision they burn more efficiently making them as environmentally friendly as possible. This is the result of working to achieve the most attractive and natural flame patterns possible from the most natural fuels available. The Plexus Air Control brings together all the elements needed to give total control of the air supply to the stove. This system governs the volume, proportion and 0 direction of combustion air, for normal operation or rapid ignition. This principle creates perfect conditions for either wood or coal burning. The air supply rate can be manually, remotely or automatically operated. The air for wood burning is pre-heated from the moment it leaves the Plexus Air Control by being passed through a full width pre-heat chamber at the back and top of the stove. Heating the air in this way helps maintain the temperature of the stove’s combustion chamber to ensure the products released from the wood do not fall below their ignition temperature. This is further helped by having the door of the stove double glazed. The stove has the newly developed ZR Air Delivery System which introduces the air for wood combustion not simply as an air stream travelling down the glass of the door but as a gentle flow throughout the entire combustion chamber. This allows the heated air to reach and burn all of the volatile products being released from the wood. Because there is a balance between volatile generation and combustion, the complete process is cleaner and more efficient. The slower air delivery gives a more visually satisfying fire which will be evident through the cleaner glass. The improvements made to the total stove design have allowed us to achieve dramatically improved combustion efficiency without resorting to lining the stove with insulating materials. Our combustion chambers remain lined with cast iron, renowned for its longevity and heat conducting properties. ● Plexus Air Control System ● ZR Combustion Technology ● Double Glazed Stove Door ● Remote Control Option with Smokeless Coal Operation ● Time Clock Control Option ● Long Life Internal Cast Iron ● The Ash Pan Door with High ard Designated models now have the option of two remote control units, which can either be fitted at the the time of purchase, or in the future, giving you more flexibility and comfort than ever before. Harmony I With the ability to provide the ideal combustion conditions for burning solid fuels from the darkest smokeless coal to the lightest wood, the Harmony I & III multifuel stoves are an impressive engineering achievement. High efficiency stoves are often difficult to light because of the internal baffling but the Harmony I & III are equipped with a direct flue path damper to ensure easy lighting and once lit, the thermostatically controlled primary air supply and manually optimized pre-heated secondary air supply allow you to regulate the heat output from the stove precisely. With the Harmony I giving up to 7kW and the Harmony III capable of 16kW of heating together with the ability to burn for long periods between refuelling, total control of the stove is not only important for comfort but for the efficiency of the stove and efficient use of its heating capacity. Both Harmony I & III models can be fitted with boilers to heat domestic hot water and the Harmony III can be fitted with a larger boiler to heat water radiators. It has never been so desirable to make wood or other solid fuels the power to warm your home.
