The club provides professional development, networking and educational opportunities through its series of exclusive member events, programs, socials, charitable functions and community service projects. The American Advertising Awards, f o r m e r l y k n o w n a s t h e A D DY ’ s ® is the Nation’s largest advertising competition. It honors outstanding creative work produced by local companies, agencies, freelancers and students, including traditional and non-traditional media. Local winners proceed to the district level of the competition, with district winners proceeding to the National finals. His work won more than 100 local, re g i o n a l a n d n a t i o n a l A D DY® Aw a rd s and was recognized by AAF Daytona Beach with the AAF Silver Medal in 1985. J i m w a s a n a c t i v e c o m m u n i t y v o l u n t e e r, especially in education – serving on the DSC Advisory Committee for Commercial and Advertising Arts. In 1 9 9 6 J i m d i e d s u d d e n l y. His death rocked the local a d v e r t i s i n g i n d u s t r y. To r e c o g n i z e J i m ’ s professional accomplishments and his generous attitude toward mentoring students of graphic arts, a scholarship bearing his name was established.
