You may propose up to 12 classes (maximum number of single hours in two weeks. Teachers need to set the appropriate grade levels and appropriate amount of time (1 hour or 2 hours per day ) for each class It's a good idea to target several grade levels --- such as 2nd-3td, 4tn-6tn, or 5th-6th. You can teach a similar class to several levels, if suitable and desired per grade. n Along with your proposal, you need estimate how much your class supplies will cost, based on materials used per student. Remember that the parents will be paying for these supplies as well as the cost of the class, so plan according and only request what you need for each student. Instruction needs to be delivered at a fast pace and in greater depth activity for the enrichment aspects. Courses should be designed for highly-motivated students. .i. Course activities should be hands on and/or interactive and fun while educational. , While you can plan a two week class, each week of class should be able to stand alone. This is due to the fact that many students and their parents (and even teachers) take vacation during the time Summer Academy is offered. {. You can request a particular time slots for classes, but there is no guarantee. Time slots are B-10 a.m. (B-9; 9-10), 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (10-17; lt-L?), L2:302:30 p.m. (12:30-1:30; 1:30-2:30). * * Remember there is only kitchen, so only one cooking class per time slot. Also we cannot use the stage nor gym as per requests by Miller.
