Outerwear needed for our Vets
Thursday Theology at Wegman’s - Summer
Working with Brian Hillestad and his
involvement with our veterans, we are
collecting light outwear clothing that is still in
good condition. They will be distributed to
local vets and their families in the community.
If you’re able to help, please put your
donations on the hangers in the upstairs coat
rack outside the choir room. Thank you for
supporting our vets.
Just a note that Thursday Theology will be meeting
only once a month for June, July, and August on the
first Thursday of each month. We will resume with
the first and third Thursdays in September. So mark
the dates of June 2, July 7, and August 4 from 9:30 am
til 11:00 am at Wegman's in Downingtown.
If you haven't come to Thursday Theology but have
wanted to, consider joining us this summer!
A meaningful worship & fellowship ministry that

Restaurant (Exton) will host a fundraiser from
11:30 AM to 2:30 PM to benefit the Safe Harbor
shelter in West Chester. Bring your friends and
family to enjoy great food and great company
while supporting a great cause. You can dine-in,
take out and order online. Twenty-five percent
(25%) of the total cost of your meal will go
directly to support Safe Harbor. It’s a win-win
for everyone and we hope that you join us in this
worthwhile effort. Don’t forget that you need the
flyer to get your discount. Pick one up on the
table in the hallway. We will also be handing
them out on the day of the event.
Fabric Kits
As part of Giving Sundays, Sunday School and
Thrivent are assembling fabric kits for Lutheran
World Relief. The kits are used to teach women
in a 3rd world country a trade and become wage
earners. Each kit contains two pieces of fabric and
2-3 spools of thread. If you would like to
contribute to this project, we are in need of the
following:
- Spools of thread-neutral colors-200 -300 yards of
thread each (full spools only)
- 2 ¼ yards of 60 inch cotton or cotton blend fabric
- 3 yards of 44/45 inch cotton or cotton blend fabric
- 4 yards of 36 inch cotton or cotton blend fabric
None of the items need to match; you can
contribute one or more of the items. Place your
contributions in the bin under the table in the
hallway.
VBS is collecting plastic lids like
pictured for a craft. Size and color
don't matter. Please bring them in to
the office.
Council Corner - News
- Beth Ringeisen and Christine Heath will be leaving their positions as Sunday School Superintendents at the end of the
spring term. We thank them for their service. It is important that replacements be found prior to the end of their tenure
so the transition may be smooth.
- A 5-week course, "My God and Your God" is being offered at LTSP. Several members from St. Paul's will be attending.
- Candidates are currently being considered for the vacant “Serve” position on St. Paul’s Council.
- We are exploring the possibility of employing a full-time Youth Director that would be shared by St. Paul's and St.
Matthew's in Chester Springs.
- We approved adding a 5th week of vacation for St. Paul's employees with 20 or more years of service.
- BSA Troop 216's adult leadership positions have been established.
- St. Paul’s Council discussed the Introduction plus Chapters 1 and 2 of "Rising Strong" by Brene Brown.
- Official council meeting minutes are located in Room 101 off the narthex.
The Simply Giving Program is convenient and easy. Just complete the above and turn it in to the office. Save
time, don’t worry about forgetting your checks or mailing them in. Questions? Call the office.
