Starring Junior Baliah Yuvarsi Y Gee Mahendra Anju 3 Nee Kidaital Podum “The character of a person is rightfully what a person really is” says Vivekanand. And a thing as important as character, what goes into making it? Well it is, of course, our thoughts that rise out of what the mind sees and watches; our surroundings and most of all our family and its background are most crucial in building a strong or weak character. One lives for his/her family. It is mutual give and take, a feeling of togetherness, a feeling that holds all in a family together. This is a story of a girl named Nisha, who has lost her parents while she was still very young. She has been brought up by her three loving uncles, who have sacrificed their entire lives for her happiness and proper upbringing, restoring in her mind all the values an culture of their country. None of them ever got married in order to be able to devote their best to this little girl. They hold only one common interest in their minds and that is to find the right match for Nisha……… A Tamil language film. Starring Sachin Dev Anandi Tripathi Mani Chananda Director D Shivraj 4 Shukriya We are taught to be wary of strangers. For they represent the unknown. For Anupam Kher, the star of Shukriya, the fourth Bollywood/ London collaboration from Inspired Movies Ltd., the arrival of a mysterious stranger, in the form of Aftab, will change his life for ever. But, 'for ever' may not be such a long time for Anupam. In this gripping suspense thriller, our hero finds his life is now hanging in the balance. What, asks anti-hero Aftab of our hero Anupam, is so compelling about your life that I should let you keep it? As in 1001 Nights, Anupam's survival depends on his ability to spin stories about life's rich tapestry that keep the mysterious stranger engaged enough to let him live to tell more life tales. It is only when faced with the threat of death that Shukriya's central character, using words to fight for his life, realises just how sweet that life really is. This one will keep audiences on the edge of their seats, as Anupam's life vs death challenge becomes an amplified version of their own human imperative: to celebrate every second of life in all its dazzling riches, holding back the dark that waits beyond. Through the power of his passion for life and his words, can Anupam achieve the impossible? Will Life triumph over Death just this once? Starring Aftab Shivdasani Shreya Saran Anupam Kher Rati Agnihotri (Masti, Footpath) (The Blue Umbrella, Balu) (Bride & Prejudice, Bend It Like Beckham), (Aisa Kyon Hota Hain, Pehchaan) Director Anupma Sinha 5 Take 3 Girls Take 3 Girls captures the spirit of London's vibrant but dangerous multi-cultural youth music scene and the ties that hold it together music, clubbing, hopes and dreams. Lyla is a beautiful Indian girl with a voice like an angel. Patsy is a tough talking squatter whose DJ skills are second to none. Spot is a rapper with a dark secret. One night Patsy and Spot sneak into an empty warehouse, intent on putting on an illegal rave. The warehouse belongs to Mo, a bankrupt businessman, who hides his financial problems from his wife Romila, still grieving the death of their daughter eight years ago. The police break up the rave and report the incident to Mo, who chooses not to press charges against the girls. They've given him an idea. He'll use money that he's safe-keeping for a friend to finance the conversion of his empty warehouse into London's hippest music club, with the girls as the main attraction. They are the same age Mo and Romila's daughter would have been. As the film progresses, an unlikely new extended family forms; Mo and Romila help the girls grow up. In turn their grief is healed. But the cruel fact is that KK is now nothing more than a shadow of his former self. He is a faded yet likeable hammy actor way past his "sell-by" date. Enter Crystal Chaurasia, 24, a young NRI documentary filmmaker of a somewhat Indian origin. As a child, Crystal's favourite Bollywood Hero used to be KK (her grandmother used to show her videos of KK's films as sleep-inducers at bedtime) and she comes to Mumbai from UK to make a documentary backed by The International Film Commission on the life and times of KK. KK realizes that he is past his prime and fuelled by the urging of his "Secretary" Ratnesh Goyal, he tries to convince his son Rahul, 25, to be launched as a hero in order to carry on his legacy as a star. But, Rahul is absolutely averse to Bollywood and will have nothing to do with it. Having reached a dead end, KK decides to re-launch himself with a film he will direct and star in as a hero. His movie fails at the box office but he does not accept defeat. Since he did not get "Rewards" from the audience, he now wants "Awards" from film award bodies. Meanwhile, Crystal who has been immersed in shooting the documentary on KK's incredible journey and has slowly let Bollywood grow on her, develops a tender relationship with Rahul. 14 Ratnesh brings this to KK's attention and KK, as a last gambit, first rekindles ambition in his embittered wife Mandira, who is herself a retired former star, then manipulates Crystal's latent desire for Bollywood stardom to ensnare her, and finally uses her to suck Rahul into the big bad world of Bollywood. A new sure-to-succeed "Super Duper Hit" film is launched starring KK, Mandira, Rahul and Crystal, as the never-say-die KK poses grandly for a Happy Family Picture. The King finally wrests back his crown as the Prince ascends the throne. As he stumbles out of the wreck, he sees a door. A luminescent orange door all by itself in the middle of the the road! A bewildered Manav opens it and crosses onto the other side… He is still on the same road and nothing seems changed. But, his life will never be the same again. A mysterious woman, Maya (Illusion), walks into his life. And soon, he's obsessed by her. She is truly like nothing he has ever encountered. He has never experienced the kind of desire that she has evoked in him. Little does he know that he is on the edge of a precipice. Of something dangerous, of something fatal, of something perhaps far worse. For, he finds himself hurtling along on a mind-numbingly frightening journey. Surreal, bizarre, demonic. Cape Karma - a nightmarish destiny. A terrifying ride into the whirlpool of madness. Starring Rahul Dev Audrey Wodehouse (Footpath) Director Pankaj Advani Psychological thriller. 16 Kuch Din Kuch Pal Six young Indians - three boys, three girls - are thrown together to learn about life, love and themselves, on a six month posting to the bright lights of London. They start off as strangers in a strange land. But, their destiny is to become the closest of friends as they experience, in turn, drama, romance and comedy in their shared adventure abroad. Aside from family, friendships are the deepest bonds we will forge, and this is a tale of a group of young friends that everyone will identify with. In the best tradition of ensemble cast 'buddy' movies, the film's energy comes from the contrasts between the six very different characters as they change and grow. As the film opens, the six gather for the first time at Mumbai airport for the start of a six-month adventure of discovery that will change them all forever. It's a journey that the audience shares, becoming part of the group of friends and experiencing the highs and lows, comedy moments, mishaps, challenges and adventures that they experience against the stunning backdrops of metropolitan London. Six months is a short time. But, for each of our group of friends, the six months of Kich Din Kuch Pal becomes a defining period in their lives. They discover who they are and what they value in life before returning to India as six very different people. 17 Starring Sudhanshu Panday Sonu Sood Bhukima Puri Shruti Ulfat (Yakeen, Kanyadan) (Divorce: Not Between Husband and Wife, Mission Mumbai) (Kiss Kisko) (Aetbaar, Raaz) Director K S Sivaraman Chess A powerful international thriller filmed in English and starring Anupam Kher and Mahima Choudhury, Chess the movie differs from chess the game in that it moves at a cracking pace. A billionaire businessman, a brilliant young software genius and their wives are at the heart of this fast-moving tale of thwarted ambition, industrial espionage, devotion and revenge. Anupam Kher's character is a Master of the Universe – a Murdoch-level mover and shaker of the business world who has amassed a fortune of billions and seems unbeatable. The richest Indian in Britain, Anupam's character has the uncanny ability to anticipate his business rivals' every move and is renowned for stealing the spoils from under their noses, often with a surprise and breath-taking move. 18 Toiling within one of his many companies is the man who turns out to be Anupam's nemesis, a software genius working on a new product worth millions that will finally bring him to his hero, Anupam's, attention, and secure his own future in the firmament of business stars. At least so he thinks. When the new software disappears from the company's computer system on the day it is to be presented to the Big Boss, it is clearly an audacious case of company theft. The software's creator himself is thrown in jail as the culprit, leading to ruin for himself and his young pregnant wife, the dashing of his dreams, and a decision to seek revenge on his former idol, whom he blames for his misfortune. After both men's wives have been tragically pulled into the web of treachery and revenge that is revealed as the film unfolds, the ultimate showdown between the two men, one brandishing a gun, the other armed incongruously with just a chess board, reveals an unexpected twist; a deus ex machina that has been guiding the story, unknown to all of the protagonists bar the chief Player himself.
