Excitement & Buzz
As we are wrapping
up the 2014 show, it
humbles me to reflect
back on a great year of
researching, planning, preparing and
implementing that was second to
none and it excites me to think
about where CFD is heading in the
future. As the show grew near, the
excitement and buzz surrounding
the show from the volunteers, contractors, exhibitors, contestants and
consumers was the highest I have
ever felt. We knew the 2014 show
was going to be an uphill battle if
we wanted to exceed the record year
of 2013, and, in true CFD fashion, I
was so proud to see the entire volunteer force, staff, city, county, state
and the local community come
together to make this year’s CFD
amazingly successful.
Congratulations and “thank you” to
all as the 118th “Daddy of ‘em All”®
will go down in the top three alltime shows in history following
1996 and 2013!
The volunteers are the lifeblood
of our organization and the RRR
sub-committee did a fabulous job
with a constant flow of ideas and
information from the volunteer corps
to the General Committee to ensure
we are living up to the name of this
committee (Recognize, Retain,
Recruit). Also, deep dives into the
volunteer survey data will continue
to help drive volunteer related decisions to a successful work force. We
hope to see you all at the Volunteer
of the Year Banquet on November
14 where we will celebrate the show
and honor those amazing
people...the volunteers of CFD!
The Master Entertainment Plan
(MEP) sub-committee worked for
over a year to develop ideas to
improve the engagement and interaction of our consumers. We can be
proud that we helped create the
excitement and word of mouth marketing that will build not only our
rodeo attendance but take CFD into
the future. We had many comments
and compliments from consumers on
how overwhelmed they were by
what was going on during the rodeo:
“I didn’t know what to watch
because there was always something
going on!” “It ran like a wellorchestrated three ringed circus!”
When we set out with this MEP
idea, the sub-committee discussed
bringing back this feeling, and it
appears that we are on the right
track and I cannot wait to see what
we will be able to do next year.
The Cinch Rodeo Shootout was a
great addition to our already impressive 10 day celebration. The attendance was lighter than we had
hoped, however, those who did
attend witnessed an awesome performance by the top contestants on
the top animal athletes to kick off
our event. We also successfully
employed a texting technology
engagement/interaction tool where
the crowd was directly involved to
help determine the outcome by picking what would happen in the
Shootout Round. Going into retreat,
we will review the exit surveys and
discuss how we can make this better,
how to market this event better and
hope that word of mouth will help
build the success of this performance.
This summer we requested proposals from several planners in the
region to help develop a Master Land
Use Plan to guide future capital
improvements and to make more
efficient use of our 83 acres. A planning team will be put together to
select a consultant and then we will
start the process of determining a
stakeholder group to represent specific areas of our show. This stakeholder group will give information
and ideas to help guide the team to
a final plan. During draft plans and
comment opportunities, please voice
your opinion as we need all information available to create the most
comprehensive plan.
With the
growth of
our event,
this plan is
very exciting
and will be a
driving factor to the future of CFD.
Due to the previous success of
our event and the generosity of the
CFD Board of Directors, we were
able to fund projects and continue to
chip away at our critical/deferred
maintenance items. Several significant capital projects were completed
on the park thanks to the hard work
and skill provided by the volunteers,
staff, city and contracted crews.
From landscape beautification projects to major capital construction
projects (Entertainer Building, V8 &
V4 Gates, asphalt pavement/sealant,
etc.), the park looked awesome to
our attendees.

Our committee said goodbye to
several people who left big boots to
fill behind them. Craig and Laurie
Alexander will be missed as they
move on to new adventures. Thank
you both for all the hardwork that
you have done to make the Indian
Village a better place.
As I begin my new duties, I
want to take this opportunity to
thank my family and husband,
Shane Allen, for allowing me to
serve as chairman of the Indians
Committee this year. I look forward
to working with all of you to make
something great, even better.
We also bid farewell to Kaci
Malmborg and thank her for being
such a great Miss Frontier. She
made her mark on Cheyenne
Frontier Days and will forever be a
part of history. We are proud of
you!
The season brings the
announcement of our new Lady-InWaiting, Jonna Brown.
Congratulations! We look forward to
getting to know you and helping
you on your journey as a part of
Cheyenne Frontier Days Royalty.
A good time was had by all at
the 2014 “Daddy of ‘em All!”®
The volunteer’s around the park all
seemed to have had a great time
this year. We rushed to get things
finished up just before show this
year. We are very proud of the new
dream catcher sculpture on the rock
pedestal out in front of the village.
If you haven’t been by to see it,
please make it a point to come
down and take a look. There are
four new concrete benches to sit
and view the dream catcher. Three
new informational signs have been
added to give visitors a little more

information about this area of the
park. Thank you to all the volunteer’s and community members who
helped to complete this project.
We are working on finishing up
some small projects in the Village
this fall while the weather will allow
us to. It is our commitment to all of
you to try and keep the village, the
most peaceful part of the park.
I think we all work so well
together and put on such a great
show because we are friends and
have fun together. We hope you will
try your best to come out and participate in the social events that we
have planned outside of show time.
We hope you will all join us for
the Volunteer of the Year Banquet,
November 14, where we look forward to honoring all of you for
your hard work and dedication. We
are also anxious to find out who
will be selected and honored as our
2014 Volunteer of the Year.
Mark your calendar for
November 8, 2014 for the annual
TIC Steak Fry. Come out and enjoy
some fantastic steaks prepared by
the Tickets, Indians and Concessions
Committees to raise funds for the
scholarship program. We promise a
good time.
I want to thank each one of you
for all of your hardwork and dedication to Cheyenne Frontier Days. It is
appreciated and you are part of
improving your community!
Thank you!

Ticket Talk
A special thank you to Judie
and Ed Petersen, your commitment to CFD truly shows what
“Riding for the Brand” looks like.
Just remember that your roots are
on the Ticket Committee and happiness and mirth are going to be part
of our committee goals so you can
come back when you are ready.
Thanks Judie for taking me under
your wing.
“Courage is being scared to
death but saddling up anyway.”
-John Wayne
As the new Ticket Chairman
this quote sums up how I feel right
now. In time, the scared will go
away (I hope). I can’t wait for all
the new challenges and experiences
to come. I think of all the chairmen before me and realize that I
have some pretty big boots to fill. I
have been lucky enough to shadow
Judie for the past couple of months
and have learned a great deal. I
now know that the show is WAY
bigger than even a 30 year volunteer knew.
I want to THANK all of the CFD
The

volunteers for putting on another
GREAT show in 2014. We had some
of the largest crowds and you conducted yourselves with professionalism and provided them with the
excellent customer service that our
visitors have come to expect at the
“Daddy of ‘em All”®.
This year brought the first ever
Cinch Rodeo Shootout and it was a
big success! Hopefully we can bring
it back next year. Even though we
had to have more volunteers on the
park a day early; you again all
stepped up and got the job done. I
know that with your continued dedication it will be bigger and better
next year!
With Keith Urban and
Miranda Lambert, two major acts
already announced for next year,
you know we will have some huge
shows to manage. You are all awesome volunteers and I know you are
up for the challenge.
The leadership on the Ticket
Committee is going to try several
new ideas to unite our committee
again. We are going to have several
all committee meetings starting with the first one on

A View from the Stage
As the dust begins to settle on
Frontier Park, it is a good time for
all of us to reflect on what an
incredible year we have had at
Cheyenne Frontier Days. It was a
great show all the way from the
Cattle Drive, to the beginning of the
Art Show, and all the way through
the final bull coming out of the
chute on Finals Sunday. I am always
amazed how a diverse group of
2,500 volunteers can come together
to put on an event of this scale and
magnitude, all the while making it
look seamless. Thank you to all the
volunteers for your hard work and
dedication.
As for Contract Acts, we had a
great year. The FGL concert was the
second largest Wednesday in our
history and one of the biggest concerts of all time. Tim McGraw set
the all time record for the final
Saturday night, and that was the
third largest show in CFD history.
Right before Tim McGraw took the
stage, we also made CFD history
when Darin Westby and I went on
stage and announced two of our
2015 performers - Miranda
Lambert and Keith Urban. Those
attending Tim McGraw were thrilled
with this announcement. The
remainder of our concerts this year
were also a success and we heard
great feedback from our customers
and volunteers on John
Mellencamp, Lady A, Gary Allan,
Brad Paisley, and Kid Rock.
The new Performers and
Merchandise Building was a great
asset to Contract Acts and the acts,
their management, and road crews
were very impressed with what we
had done. The addition of this new
building allows us to be competitive
in terms of amenities with any
venue in the region.
The artists and management
were also shown concept drawings
of the new stage and the response
to that was likewise amazing. As
CFD continues to have bigger and
bigger shows, the acts are now
requiring a bigger stage than our
present stage as well as the capability of the stage for large scale production, such as video walls, light
shows, and special effects. Our stage
was never designed with the ability
to do this, and we have had to come
up with unique solutions to have
these production pieces. A new stage
will allow us to use the artists' full
production. Another issue with the
current stage is that it is not weatherproof. If it were to rain hard
enough, or if the rain was wind
driven, it may result in a concert
being cancelled. The new stage as
designed would significantly reduce
the risk of weather impacting a
show. By the time you read this the
new stage should have come back
from being bid, and the bids should
be under consideration by the
General Committee and the Board of
Directors.
Even though we have announced
Miranda and Keith for next year, we
are working hard to fill our remaining nights with both head liners and
opening acts, and we currently have
several offers outstanding. More on
this will follow in the coming
months.
This year Contract Acts expanded the beer garden and many volunteers from many committees stopped
by to say "hello" and to have a cold
beverage. We will continue that this
year, but due to artist security concerns, as of 5:00 p.m. each day,
only Contract Acts volunteers can
be in the Contract Acts area. Also,
out of longstanding respect to the
artists and agreements with artist
management, please remember no
photographs or video of any type
can be taken inside the Contract
Acts area.
As Jennifer and I begin our
final year on the General Committee
we want to thank all of those we
have worked with and met, for welcoming us all over the park and
making us a part of the "CFD
Family." We are looking forward to
the 2015 show and working with
the greatest group of volunteers
anywhere.
-Larry Kehl
Contract Acts Chairman
Frontier Park looked amazing
Wow! I can’t believe that our
118th show is behind us already.
What an awesome year! With good
weather and the great volunteer
force, our western celebration was
our third best show ever! We even
made it through a big hail storm a
week before the show, that had the
potential to cause a lot of damage.
Portal 1 was completely full of
water. Thanks to Robert, Chris
and our volunteers, we were able to
get the park ready by show time.
I would like to thank all of the volunteers for stepping-up on workdays. Your help was very much
appreciated. We needed to have the
extra work days and work nights, to
get a lot of projects completed. The
park really looked amazing this
year! I got several compliments on
the park’s cleanliness. Your commitment to CFD really shined through.
A special thank you goes out to the
Grounds Committee for your continued commitment to CFD. Thank you
goes out to the Grounds Leads
Mike, Steve, Dan, Pete, Mark,
Chuck and Brandon for your help
all year long. All of your extra
efforts make a huge difference to
the success of CFD.
This year the Grounds
Committee put on the 4th of July
Fireworks Show. Lead by Grounds
Bob Ingelby, who put on a show
that was second to none! The stands
were completely packed with fans
that were certainly not disappointed. Big thanks to Bob and all of the
volunteers that helped
put together the show!
A real special thanks
to Robert and Chris
Roedocker, and the rest
of their crew, for all of
your hard work throughout the year. Designing
and building the new
gates and keeping up
with all your other

duties, has been appreciated by
everyone! Your dedication to CFD
pays off all year long. Robert and I
are discussing and planning for next
year’s projects.
Thank you goes out to Bill
Obermeier, Dennis Pino and the
rest of their City Crews. Your help
before, during and after the show, is
very much appreciated and welcomed. The park stayed in great
shape throughout the show, thanks
to all of you. It is easy to see the
total commitment that the City has
toward the success of CFD.
Yep, volunteerism is alive and
well at Cheyenne Frontier Days.
The General Committee is
already planning for the 119th, and
we will be heading to retreat soon,
to get the ball rolling.
Colette and I look forward to
seeing all of the volunteers at the
upcoming events, such as the
Volunteer of the Year banquet and
the Christmas parties. Again, thanks
to all of you for volunteering, CFD
couldn’t exist without you!

us to keep everyone up to date on
meetings, Parties, work days, etc.
The email is rodeocfd@gmail.com.
Currently Gretchen is compiling the
addresses and working on setting

RED SHIRT
MATTERS
Wow, is it really the end of
August already? Hard to believe
another show is over and we are
working on the 119th.
First I would like to introduce
myself, Ron Newnum, and my
lovely, very patient wife, Annette.
Through much thought, encouragement and several pushes I am the
new Security Chairman for 20142015 year to come. Many thanks to
all that were involved in the whole
process; and for those that selected
me to carry on the great Security
tradition, set by all of the past
chairmen, spouses, and committee
members.
We sadly say farewell to Hoy
and Linda Myers but thank them
for a wonderful three years. I know
they both will be around to help us
when needed and I will need a lot
of help.
Next let me not forget our great
committee and everything they did
for the 118th show. We had some
record crowds and as usual, shorthanded and all, they came through
it in fine fashion. We managed to
perform bag checks at the gates
and we moved more people on and
off the park through Park ‘N Ride
(PNR) than in the past few years. A
quick thank you to all of you that
utilized the PNR and the volunteer
lots. We worked around all kinds of
obstacles to get visitors parked on
the park as much as possible. We
made over 1,000 new or improved
signs for committees and sponsors.
So you can see we had our hands
very full but the jobs were done.
As part of my first duties, I
have asked Bill Vernon and
Bernie Kushnir to be my primary
leads. If you need anything from
Security and can’t catch-up with
me please feel free to contact them.
Next I am working on critiques and
budget items for the coming year. I
think there will be many exciting
things coming our way.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Volunteer Banquet the
November 14. This one is for all of
the volunteers and is a really fun
time. I hope to see all of you there.
One last time to all that helped
me get here and for all of those
that will help in the upcoming year,
THANK YOU. I am looking forward to working side by side with
the General Committee and all of
the volunteers. Please remember to
thank your fellow volunteers
throughout the year and have as
much fun as possible.
-Ron Newnum
Security Chairman
From The HEELS
The winning tickets have been drawn, the amounts won have been determined and the
2014 HEELS’ 50/50 Raffle is in the history books.
Thanks so much to the forty-one Heels, spouses and volunteers who sold raffle tickets
during the show. Special thanks go to Mikie and Ralph Pike (Concessions) who contributed in excess of
twelve hours selling raffle tickets during the show.
Thanks so much to the volunteers, vendors, sponsors and guests who purchased raffle tickets.
This year, two milestone were reached, i.e., we have now sold in excess of $100,000 in tickets and, we will
have contributed in excess of $50,000 back to our community. Of that amount, we are extremely pleased to
have contributed over $31,000 to the CFD Volunteer Crisis Fund from our seven 50/50 raffles.
Thanks again. See ya’ around the park and “Outside the Fence.”

A big thank you to 2014 Miss
Frontier, Kaci Malmborg for
always representing CFD with
poise and dignity, we wish you the
best in your very bright future and
hope to see you as an in-stadium
personality next year. We crowned
our 2015 Miss Frontier, Sara
Rangitsch, who will represent
CFD with pride. Also this fall, we
selected Jonna Brown as our
2015 Lady in Waiting, please join
me in congratulating both these
young ladies.
Another General Committee
family member leaving the nest is
our Chief Executive Officer, Dan
Cheney. He has been given an
amazing opportunity to be the
Chief Operating Officer for the
Houston Livestock and Rodeo.
Through Dan’s experience in business and his leadership, CFD has
had five of the best years in our
history. Dan developed a new CFD
business model that will continue
to serve our event into the future.
He will be greatly missed and we
wish him well in Houston and look
forward to building our events’
relationship.
Misha and I would like to
thank all of the volunteers for
their dedication, the staff for their
steadfast support, the Board for
their help and direction, the
Cheyenne/Laramie County & State
governments for their partnerships
and assistance, our sponsors and
the local community for their support and attendance. Without each
of your efforts in the show, CFD
would not be successful. As we
review the critiques and move into
the committee planning retreat, we
look forward to the new opportunities and challenges that await us
and I stand very proud to be your
General Chairman.
– Darin Westby, General
Chairman
Simply incredible!
Wow! What a year! Many
thanks to all of the incredible volunteers of Cheyenne Frontier Days for
making the 2014 show one of the
top three of all time. It was truly a
year to remember, for a lot of reasons…..
Over the past several years, we
have worked very hard to engage
our partners, visitors, community,
and others to better understand how
we can make CFD better, and more
relevant to a wide audience. For me,
the 2014 show was an opportunity
to listen to a lot of different audiences, and to pick their brains about
what they like, and conversely, not
so much. In the wake of a tremendous year, and to be sure we don’t
become overly comfortable and rest
on our Laurel and Hardy handshake, these are the highlights.
The Master Entertainment Plan
(MEP) for rodeo was very well
received. In particular, many longtime patrons said the show was
reminiscent of the days when CFD
was a “three-ring circus” where you
could not possibly watch everything,
and left wanting more. First-time
visitors had a similar reaction.
There are a lot of reasons for this integration of the visiting rodeo royalty into the actual show, more
cameras and chances for fan interaction, and a great job of rodeo production by Mitch Carter and his
crew – but we can do more. I owe
personal thanks to Kerri Roe and
Lynn McLeod from the Calgary
Stampede for coming down and
sharing their expertise, and to
Chuck Coon, Mike McCrimmon
and Jim Wilkinson for their incredible work to document the days.
People are still talking about the
presentation of the park this year –
clean, friendly, professional, and wel-
coming are words that they share.
Those comments highlight the
importance of developing a longrange plan to assess and guide
development of the park into the
future. It is exciting to think about
adding even more to the incredible
entertainment options we offer, but
without a longer view and an honest assessment of where we are
today, and where we can be in the
future, we are merely changing the
color of polish on our nails.
I was absolutely overwhelmed at
times by the magnitude of volunteer
effort it takes to put this event
together, and moreover, to pull it off.
We’ve made progress in this regard,
but our goal should be a full-park
commitment to recruit, retain and
recognize (RRR) all of our volunteers. We can do a better job. Hats
off to Lisa Simmons, who recruited
60 awesome members to PR this
year - one-third of them were nominated for our “Rookie of the Year,”
and to Teena Gering, who instituted a “mentoring” program for new
volunteers that gave them a leg-up
before the show. As chairman, I am
only as good as my team, and I was
humbled by letting them do the
work they needed to do, often without credit or paisley shirts.
Perhaps one of the things that
caught my attention most in listening to people was the nearly uniform praise for the level of service
provided by our volunteers, and the
willingness to adjust and improve on
the fly. Media raved about the way
they were treated in various places,
and complimented multiple committees. We added sponsors, and with
that, challenges to the way we’ve
done things in the past. Public
Relations was pressed to add transportation, added space, and more
attention to our guests, and other
committees felt the same pressure.
We met that challenge this year, but
it will continue to take a larger
effort to deliver at the level we all
expect.
To that end, the greatest experience of this show for me was the
unprecedented coordination and
cooperation between and among the
ten committees. In thirty years on
the park, I have never seen so much
communication, good humor, honesty, integrity, and trust among the
volunteers, and it worked to the
degree that many said the show was
“seamless.” While we can all point
to areas where we faltered, those
become little things we can correct
if we work together. I wish I could
list all of the volunteers from every
committee who deserve a “shout
out” for this year, but there are
more than 2000 of you on that list.
In closing, it was abundantly
clear to our guests that all of us, as
volunteers, have an incredibly high
expectation of ourselves and our
show. We do not accept mediocrity,
and we do not “write off ” legitimate
concerns from our patrons. I have
worked with highly-paid professionals who show less commitment to
excellence, and I am perpetually
amazed and humbled by the pride
and care we all show for our community and our event. I hope that
when we all shook off the tired and
sore from 2014, we found a
renewed vigor to become even better
next year. I can’t wait!

PARADING AROUND
The 2014 celebration is in the
books and only one word comes to
mind "SHAZAM". This year was
almost magical with how every
challenge was met head on. The list
of this year's success rates just
seems to go on and on starting with
the Cinch Shootout. Amazing what
can happen when you let a bunch
of volunteers, who absolutely love
rodeo, put on even more. I am very
proud of the success of the "RRR"
committee for what they accomplished this year for our volunteers.
One challenge we did receive
this year happened just before the
show, when the park got hit with a
hoop of hail. I sure learned a bunch
that day, one was Barn 10 has roof
problems and another is you cannot
out work the W-HEELS, when they
are protecting our property. I can't
count the number of ladies that
showed me up that day. I would
not trade their dedication and loyalty for anything as I am so proud to
be associated with them. I also
noticed this year how everyone
came together as a team. From the
volunteers, to the staff, to the
HEELS, to the W-HEELS, to the Old
West Museum, to the Sponsors, to
the City, to the County, to the State
and everyone else who contributed.
As I was writing this and thinking of everyone involved, it made
me look back at all the individuals I
saw... from the Highway Patrolman
during the cattle drive to the street
sweepers assisting at the parades,
just to name a few out of the thousands involved.
This year also brought the
departure of Craig & Laurie
Alexander, Scott & Megan Fox,
Hoy & Linda Myers and Judie &
Ed Petersen from the General
Committee. It has been an honor to
be on this team with all of you and
your better halves. I will miss you
all, but I will never forget you, as all
of you were there for Kim and I.
Another departure from the CFD
Royalty family is 2014 Miss Frontier
Kaci Malmborg. Kim and I will
not only miss you, but your family,
as like you, they are really great
people.
Now, let me welcome our new
folks on board; Hans & Carolyn
Ritschard (Military), Andrea &
Shane Allen (Indians), Linda &
Tad Bostron (Tickets) and Ron &
Annette Newnum (Security). Also
let me welcome Jonna Brown as
our 2015 Lady-In-Waiting as she
partners with another outstanding
lady, Sara Rangitsch, the 2015
Miss Frontier.
In closing, Kim and I want to
thank all the volunteers and staff
for everything you do. A very special "Thank You" to the Parades
Committee for making 2014 a great
year. I have never been more proud
to be associated with a group of
people than I am with all of you.
When the bosses tasked us with
cleaning out the barn, you all performed above expectations. You
worked hard on four great parades,
a perfect cattle drive & breakfast,
and an outstanding Chuckwagon
Cook Off, just to name a few. The
Parades Committee has developed
the attitude of there is nothing we
can't do. I am proud and honored to
be your Parades Chairman, so let's
have some fun.
PS: Thank you Kim, I love ya.

Yee Haw!
Hospitality and Volunteer
Friendliness
Congratulations on an
Outstanding Job! You great volunteers showed over 250,000 rodeo
fans and Night Show fans the hospitality that Cheyenne Frontier Days is
known for. Your dedication and
hard work did not go unnoticed.
As I talked with customers,
sponsors, vendors, and rodeo contestants throughout the week they
all told me about the great hospitality, the friendliness of our volunteers.
Thank You for the great job you did!
I would also like to thank the
Concessions Committee for all the
hard work they did this year! I
would also like to thank Woody
Acord for ensuring the carnival was
safe and inviting, Brad Westby for
helping keep our vendors and
exhibitor’s happy and prosperous,
and Alan Stoinski for providing
some great acts in the free entertainment area and coordinating
with our food and beverage operator. Thank You!
I hope you had the chance this
year to make it down to the Free
Entertainment Area! We had some
great acts performing on the stage.
We also teamed up with Clear
Channel of Northern Colorado and
they introduced us to some of the
region’s best talent.
The carnival was very clean and
inviting this year. As I walked
trough I saw a lot of families having
a great time. Did you try the new
menu items such as the Bronc
Buster or the Red Velvet Funnel
Cake? If you didn’t, you missed two
great items. While you were walking
past the Old Frontier Town did you
stop and look at some of the great
wares that our vendors were selling?
How about listening to Randy
Calhoon teaching his apprentices
how to be a blacksmith? Thanks
Randy.
It is now time to start planning
and organizing another great year.
The 119th “Daddy of ‘em All”® will
be here before we know it. The
Concessions Committee is working
out a new contract with the carnival and hoping to bring in some
more spectacular rides. We are also
working with Fresh Connections to
bring back our favorite carnival
foods and bring in some new and
tasty ones also. There is some overdue maintenance in the Old Frontier
Town; fresh paint, some floor issues
and minor repairs that will need to
be made. We are also working on
bringing back the petting zoo and
pony rides. During our critique there
were some awesome ideas on how
to improve our guest’s experiences
at Cheyenne Frontier Days and I
look forward to exploring them with
the General Committee.
I have one last thank you and
that is to my wife Heidi and kids
Maddi, Emma and Danielle. I
know that we can duplicate the
great showing at the 118th. I look
forward to planning and preparing
for the 2015 celebration.

CFD Volunteer Crisis
Save the date February 21, 2015. That is the date for the next CFD Volunteer Crisis
Fund Dinner and Auction. The last two years, we have sold out all tickets to the event
well in advance, so don’t wait until the last minute when the tickets go on sale in
January. Get yours early! Also, we are most appreciative of sponsorships and auction
items from local businesses, so if you can give us any hints that would be appreciated.
The Crisis Fund continues to help CFD Volunteers who are experiencing financial difficulties. Since
2008 we have helped 62 CFD families with over $194,000 in assistance. You, the volunteers, have been
the key to help other volunteers facing financial troubles...thank you! You embody the true volunteer
spirit that makes the show happen. We have been very fortunate due to donations from many committees
and individual members. Those we have helped are grateful beyond words.
Congratulations to CFD Rodeo Ticket Buyer
Pattie Becker of Agate, Colorado. She was
the winner of the Arctic Cat Wildcat Giveaway. Pattie is a CFD Season Ticket holder
and has been attending CFD for years.
The winner of the 2014 CFD RAM Truck was Glen Schallock of West Salem,
Wisconsin. Glen and his family were in Cheyenne for their vacation. Proceeds
from the raffle go to the CFD Scholarship Foundation. Congrats Glen!
