High Definition | Produced by Whalley-Abbey Media | Commissioned by Food Network Canada & Cooking Channel Canada
Chef Chuck Hughes has been busy of late… He’s opened a new restaurant, bought his first home with his girlfriend and all the while
juggled a red hot TV career. Now he’s got a real challenge on his hands – he has to host his very first Christmas dinner! In this fun-filled
holiday special, Chuck works to pull off a one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration. As always he aims big. He wants to create a whole new
menu incorporating his family classics, with a Chuck twist of course, plus a few new additions to recognise some of his girlfriend Sabrina’s
family traditions. Of course no one hosts Christmas dinner without a lot of help. Chuck runs around town collaborating with his plugged-in
suppliers and friends and his mom Francine. Francine normally hosts the family’s Christmas dinner so Chuck is keen to impress her with
his first effort. Full of holiday fun, great food and family, this is Chuck’s take on Christmas. This is Chuckmas!

people and experiencing incredible food. Along with his food adventures, he off-roads up a volcano, works a shift at a taco stand, gets into
a wrestling ring, delivers sandwiches in Guadalajara, ropes a cow with a group of Mexican cowboys, goes deep-sea fishing and dives into
sinkholes. From coast to coast, Chuck lives out once-in-a-lifetime experiences, meets awesome people and serves up some amazing food!

Experience the world from its obsessive side! From the bold to the bizarre, from the freaky to the fun – every society has an obsession.
Some are modern while others have existed for centuries. Join happy-go-lucky host Jason Godfrey in this travel documentary series as

one society’s obsession can become the new normal. From exploring Korea’s extreme plastic surgery reality shows to China’s Internet

about in his own way – playing a robot, taking singing lessons while half-nude, consulting cosmetic surgeons and questioning if he’s the

Flea market junkie Dominic Johnson-Hill takes us on a journey across Asia to find captivating curios and antiques, both valuable and intriguing! It
can be like finding a needle in a haystack, but whatever happens it’s a road trip that Dominic always gets a kick out of. Flea markets are haunts for
colourful characters from all walks of life. As the Vintage Hunter, Dominic gets a different peek at history via its collectors and their prized possessions.
But it’s all about making the deal! The thrill of the chase begins in Dominic’s adopted home city of Beijing, where he gets an eye-opening look at the
real and fake market he thought he knew all about. In modern Singapore, Dominic makes a secret connection to WWII POWs and the city’s thriving
underground vintage culture. Behind Tokyo’s polite veneer, Dominic unravels the intense Japanese fixations with old boy’s toys – Godzilla figures,
anime toys and Samurai swords. In the Malaysian cities of Kuala Lumpur and Malacca, Dominic finds tradesmen who have kept their vintage tools,
furniture and trinkets intact since the old colonial days. In Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam War provides both an exhilarating and serious history
lesson. Jetting off to Mumbai, Dominic is dazzled by Bollywood’s history – through the kaleidoscopic film collectibles that Mumbaikers hoard.

DARK MINDS
8 x 60 minutes
High Definition | Format rights available | Co-produced by Beyond Productions and ID. Investigation Discovery USA
Dark Minds brings fresh eyes to unsolved serial killer investigations using the combined instincts of three unique perspectives. Reexamining
the homicides are two obsessive investigators – John Kelly, psychologist/criminal profiler and M. William Phelps, true crime author/
investigative journalist. Joining them is an unlikely and anonymous source: a convicted multiple murderer known only as ‘13’. Wishing
to make amends by helping catch other killers, ‘13’ uses his own personal experience to formulate theories behind these chilling cold
cases. These criminals are still out there. Their identity and whereabouts are unknown. But Phelps and Kelly go looking and shine a light
into the darkest corners of human behaviour. Their mission is to hunt justice – retracing the crime and piecing together a profile of the
killer by interviewing key people – cops, forensic scientists, survivors, family and witnesses. We’re along for the ride and it’s an exclusive
and shocking journey inside each case and inside each murderer’s psyche.

hero dogs of 9/11
1 x 60 minutes | High Definition | Produced by Kelencontent with the participation of Dog Files & Starlight Runner Entertainment
Commissioned by Animal Planet Canada
For the first time, this documentary reveals the unknown true stories of survivors and the working dogs who saved lives at Ground Zero
during the September 11, 2001 crisis and aftermath. More than three hundred dogs were part of the rescue and recovery operation, going
where it was impossible for humans to follow. The occasional dog collapsed from exhaustion but none of them gave up. Most of these fourlegged heroes are now retired but they leave behind a story that must be told. Blind office worker Michael Hingson had to trust his seeingeye dog Roselle on a treacherous descent of 78 flights of stairs to escape only moments before the towers collapsed. Lt. David Lim of the
NY Port Authority Police was called to duty with his explosive detector dog Sirius. Genelle Guzman-McMillan, the last remaining survivor
of 9/11, was pinned under the rubble for 27 hours after the buildings collapsed before being found by recovery dogs.
the twitch
13 x 30 minutes
High Definition | Format rights available | Produced by ProductionShed. TV | Commissioned by Maori Television New Zealand
The tiny island of Kaitangata is waking up again and only thirteen-year-old Meredith can stop it, before it claims another victim. The last
time the island twitched was over fifty years ago and a girl disappeared without a trace, apparently swallowed up by the island. The local
tribe knew it was best to leave it alone; some pieces of land just want to stay the way they are. The island went to sleep but now it’s moving
again. Meredith must discover what it wants before it is too late. A thrilling, contemporary story for mainstream family audiences, with live
action, drama, CGI, myth and magic, The Twitch is an amazing tale from the fertile imagination of internationally renowned author Margaret
Mahy. Set in a small coastal village near Christchurch in New Zealand, this is a story of Meredith, her family and the incredible events that
shake them – literally and metaphorically. The tiny island of Kaitangata seems to have a life of its own.

gallipoli from above
1 x 60 minutes
High Definition | Produced by Sensible Films | Commissioned by Foxtel History Channel Australia
Gallipoli From Above: The Untold Story of the Gallipoli Landing overturns many of the myths surrounding the World War One landing.
Many people believe that the Australians landed at dawn, on the wrong beach, with little knowledge of the Turkish defenses and that
they were led by incompetent British officers. In fact nothing could be further from the truth. The Australians ran their own show using
aerial intelligence, emerging technology and innovative tactics to land 20,000 troops on a heavily defended and precipitous shoreline.
They used an aircraft carrier, a tethered balloon and a squadron of biplanes to gather detailed information on the disposition of the
Turkish defenders and developed a plan for the landing that avoided significant casualties. It is now nearly 100 years since the landing
and hundreds of books, movies and documentaries have failed to grasp the significance of the ANZAC achievement. Presented by Hugh
Dolan, Gallipoli From Above sets out to change the way the world thinks about Gallipoli forever.

programmed to be fat?
generation boomerang

High Definition | Produced by Dreamfilm Productions

1 x 60 minutes
High Definition | Produced by Dreamfilm Productions
Commissioned by CBC Canada
Man-made chemicals may be programming us to be fat – before
we’re even born! Over the past three decades, the developed
world has become increasingly overweight, even after years
of struggling to eat less and exercise more. Programmed
To Be Fat? explores controversial new science that suggests
exposure to man-made chemicals, starting in the womb, may
be triggering changes to our metabolism that result in life-long
weight gain. Endocrine disruptors are all around us – in plastic,
in cans, in the water we drink, in the food we eat. They’re not
supposed to enter our bodies, but they do. If they’re proven
to cause weight gain, the implications for human health are
profound. Now scientists are going beyond animal research
to human population studies, testing the theory that foetal
exposure to man-made chemicals is a key reason for our
global obesity epidemic.
More than half of young Canadian adults aged between
20 and 29 still live with their parents. After a childhood of
overprotection, overindulgence, over-everything, today’s young
adults are finding the real world a little too real. So they’re
heading back home – if they ever left in the first place. Generation
Boomerang examines the reasons why so many of today’s young
adults are slow to launch out into the world. A tough economy
gets much of the blame – but a peek below the surface reveals
that this is a generation reluctant to give up the comforts of
home. Generation Boomerang weaves together personal stories
with expert analysis. Sociologists and psychologists weigh in with
differing views on whether this trend is a good thing – or whether
we are raising a generation of Peter Pans who will never grow up.
For better or worse, this new living arrangement is something
many experts believe is here to stay.
