C M EQ/SE page 39 Y K Thousands came from throughout the city and Long Island on Saturday to continue an Easter tradition with the 12th annual Easter egg hunt sponsored by City Councilman Leroy Comrie (DS. Albans) and Affinity Heath Plan. The day featured rides, carnival games and live musical performances. There also were free Healthplex dental screenings for children. The New York Knicks Groove truck also presented opportunities for area free-throw and three-point shot experts to show their scoring and rebounding skills. The event was hosted by radio personality Bob Lee of WBLS Radio. But the true stars of the event were the Easter bunny and Rex, the Dalmation, who serves as Affinity’s mascot. They gave out eggs with holiday Q surprises to all the children. Kids of all ages lines up for the Flying Dragon ride.
