“In The Know” Centennial Middle School 763-792-5400 www.isd12.org/cms Friday, November 20, 2015 Thursday, November 12th was GiveMN.org’s “Give to the Max Day.” As part of the annual fundraising day, local schools participated in a lip sync contest at the Mall of America to compete for a chance to win $500. Mr. Macken and CMS students performed to “Geronimo.” Thank you to Mrs. Tangren and Mrs. Andrews for choreographing the routine and a big thank-you to the students and Mr. Macken for performing! Our school received $200 for their efforts! A special thank-you to Marjorie Wood, the local community member who helped us win the $20,000 “Golden Ticket” through GiveMN.org last year. We look forward to sharing the impacts of Marjorie’s generosity with her at an upcoming celebration hosted in our renovated learning commons. A special thank-you to Superintendent Dietz for taking the time to join us at the competition! One of the after-school clubs at CMS is Youth As Resources.
