Challenges and Summary
Revolutionary Low Cost is required
Revolutionary Low Cost is required
• A conceptual breakthrough is requested Fresh, Processed
(paste etc.)
etc )
• Information exchange and discussion among different
p
industries are most important.
• A hardware only solution is inefficient (The combination of
breeding (cultivar) and cultivation techniques is important.)
• Long term prospect: Overseas development (Huge Asian
market)
• Short term prospect: Large
Large-Scale
Scale facilities (Plant factory
special zones)
IT downsizing and reducing cost of control
• Introduction of IT,
systems
• Reduce labor cost and pproduct cost ( automation,,
development of labor saving devices)

Tomato leaves and fruits receive more light, so that more
photosynthesis resulting in large fruits
photosynthesis,
Fruit quality, such as vitamin and sugar contents, can be increased
Labor tasks, such as harvesting, are much simplified

From May 20th planting to August 9th planting, growing period was
60 days, respectively.
It is possible to grow 2 crops the period of 123 days from 5/20 to
9/20.
It is possible to 2.5 crops for the rest of 242 days.
