Jez San is one of the UK’s serial tech
entrepreneurs. Having founded his first
company, Argonaut, at age 16, Jez was
responsible for hit release StarGlider, one of
the first 3D games to hit the nascent video games market in the eighties.
This passion for three dimensional graphics in videogames was and
continues to be, Jez’s forte.
In the early 90’s Jez and the Argonaut team created the world’s first 3D
graphics accelerator known as the SuperFX chip for Nintendo. Jez’s
team was responsible for creating some of the first 3d computer games
(StarGlider), the first 3d console games (StarFox)... the first 3d surround
sound (King Arthur’s World), and the first 3d graphics chips (Super
FX chip).
While playing poker at home in the early noughties with friends and
online at Paradise & PartyPoker, Jez dreamed of developing a more
realistic poker game that had true-to-life qualities (in…wait for it... 3d ;-)
