Training Module Protein Science Department COURSE 1 Basic Mammalian Cell Culture Technique Three days intensive lab and lecture courses on basic (optional - intermediate and advance) mammalian cell culture technology. Training customisation is possible. Topics will cover: Aseptic techniques, growth media preparation, cell revival and maintenance (adherent and suspension cell lines) and propagation, cell counting and cryopreservation. COURSE 2 Basic Molecular Biology Five days intensive lab and lecture courses on basic molecular biology (optional - intermediate and advance). Training customisation is possible. Topics will cover: DNA extraction, PCR, DNA purification, ligation, cloning, plasmid extraction, plasmid digestion, sequence analysis etc. COURSE 3 ELISA Three to five days intensive lab and lecture courses on Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) or other standard immunoassay methods. Training customisation is possible. Topics will cover: Principles and applications (i.e., qualitative and quantitative) in antibodies binding study. Customer is advised to provide their antigen (if possible). Topics will cover: Antigen preparation for immunisation (host-mouse), mouse tail-bleeding, immunisation antibody titre determination, binding assay design, fusion, hybridomas monitoring and selection, hybridoma screening (ELISA) and limiting dilution. Pre-requisites: Participants should have acquired basic knowledge of mammalian cell culture techniques. COURSE 5 Cell Line Development (Recombinant Protein Production) Comprehensive training and hands-on / bench works on the development of cell line expressing protein of your interest. Customer is advised to provide their gene of interest. Topics will cover: Construction and design of expression vector, transformation, transfection, cell cloning and selection, clones screening and analysis.
