MEA®DRAIN Supreme
MEA®DRAIN Supreme For maximum performance Accepts heavy loads Pioneering design Multiple installation options Drainage solutions for heavy-load to city applications System versions: > EN > ENS > SV > S > Z MEA®DRAIN Supreme EN Heavy-load applications Next to appearance and the type of fall, the expected maximum load is the decisive criterion in the selection of a drainage system. The DIN 19580 / EN 1433 standards specify the various loading classes and associated installation sites here. MEA®DRAIN Supreme has virtually been created specifically for all those applications where extremely high wheel loads are present – classes E600 and F900. This channel system transfers the advantages of polymer concrete in a unique manner to heavy-load applications: the extremely robust and practically wear-free design of channel bodies ensures maximum reliability. Their modular, lightweight construction and different internal slopes allow for a wide spectrum of combinations options. The outstanding surface finish guarantees the rapid discharge of water and dirt particles. What's more, groundwater is permanently protected thanks to the channel's high resistance to chemically aggressive substances. Anyone wishing to combine performance, reliability and efficiency in the most optimal manner for professional surface drainage will plan on using MEA®DRAIN Supreme EN. Overview of gradients EN 1000: > No fall > Linear fall > Stepped fall EN 1500: > No fall > Stepped fall EN 2000: > No fall > Stepped fall EN 3000: > No fall Particularly suitable for loading classes: > C250 (250 kN test load) > D400 (400 kN test load) Not suitable for the cross drainage of high speed roads and motorways > E600 (600 kN test load) > F900 (900 kN test load) 2 No fall Linear fall Stepped fall A constant-depth channel run, where no gradient is required or the natural gradient is sufficient. Channel runs with an integrated linear gradient and a constant gradient of 0.5%. Lengths of up to 20 m are possible as standard for channel runs. Channel runs of up to 30 m on request. Channel runs for cost-effective, efficient and uniform drainage are constructed by combining channel elements of different heights with one another. MEA®DRAIN Supreme ENS Critical heavy-load applications Higher, faster, further ... It applies not only to sport but especially also to the development of dynamic business and industrial environments. Trucks are becoming increasingly heavier, aircraft larger; critical surfaces are bearing ever increasing volumes of traffic and therefore loads. This makes a new generation of drainage channels necessary; channels that can also guarantee performance reliability for highly critical areas such as airports, docks and terminals, as well as loading zones with intensive levels of forklift truck traffic. MEA®Drain Supreme ENS channel systems have been perfectly designed to accomplish just this. Thanks to their well thought-out design, the cast-iron Z edge rails are better able to accept loads and distribute these evenly across a larger surface than previous channel types. These modified channel bodies in conjunction with MEA's heavy-duty gratings serve to transform MEA®DRAIN Supreme ENS into a system for particularly demanding applications. Specific applications: > Airports Summary of system versions > Container terminals > ENS 2000 > Port-side areas > ENS 3000 > Loading zones with intense heavy-load forklift truck traffic > ENS 3070 > ENS 4000 Particularly suitable for loading classes: Not suitable for the cross drainage of high speed roads and motorways No fall A constant-depth channel run, where no gradient is required or the natural gradient is sufficient. > E600 (600 kN test load) > F900 (900 kN test load) 3 MEA®DRAIN Supreme SV The perfect all-rounder Increasingly stringent demands concerning environmental protection, longterm load-bearing capacity and functionality are being placed on channels where these are used for the surface drainage of pedestrian zones, parks, car parks as well as industrial areas. The SV 1000 drainage system which is made from eco-friendly polymer concrete offers the ideal solution here. With a 4-mm-thick galvanized steel edge rail and gratings secured against longitudinal displacement, the system, which will bear loads to class E600, can even be used in industrial areas. Since it also offers excellent value for money, the MEA®DRAIN Supreme SV is the perfect all-rounder, from city through to industrial applications. From an aesthetic standpoint, the new ADA gratings, which have been designed to be installed along wheelchair-accessible routes, and HEELGUARD gratings, which are ideal for highly-frequented inner-city areas and allow women wearing high-heeled shoes to also walk safely, are the new arrivals next to traditional cast-iron, mesh and slotted gratings. System versions > SV 1000 Particularly suitable for loading classes: > C250 (250 kN test load) No fall Linear fall Stepped fall > D400 (400 kN test load) A constant-depth channel run, where no gradient is required or the natural gradient is sufficient. These make it an extremely reliable and versatile material in even the toughest conditions. The material – natural mineral products like quartz, basalt and granite, bonded together with a resinous mixture – is particularly robust and has an extremely high flexural tensile strength and compressive strength. Another impressive feature of drainage channels in polymer concrete is that they are significantly lighter than conventional concrete channels, making them considerably easier to install. Because they are particularly resistant to liquid chemicals, MEA® channels in polymer concrete are the product of choice when it comes to eco-friendly drainage solutions and the protection of groundwater. The numerous benefits of MEA®'s specially developed polymer concrete are what make this material the successful basis for the MEA®DRAIN Supreme channel system. Available in loading classes C250 through to F900, a range of different channel covers is on offer. A choice of three securement options exists, depending on the channel type and clear width: Two innovative bolt-free locking solutions are provided for MEA®DRAIN PROFIX and MEA® CLIPFIX; the additional option of bolted securement exists for selected gratings. Opt for MEA®DRAIN Top and bag a series of further advantages on top of everything else: > Fast, cost-effective installation > Optimised water uptake > Extended service life > No rattling with vehicular traffic > TÜV-tested PROFIX rapid locking for EN and ENS channels PROFIX has no moving parts and also guarantees long-term functionality under extreme conditions. The grating has been designed to snap securely into the edge of the channel. What's more, integral lugs prevent any lengthwise movement of the grating. For everyone who likes easy, fast and convenient installation. PROFIX – it's the choice of professionals! And it’s so easy: Place the grating in the channel body – press in – finished. The grating locks into position by itself through its 4-point spring-steel locking system. But what about removal? Professionals simply resort to a screwdriver and lever the grating out. Be it for a first installation or for channel cleaning: Compared with conventional securement methods, PROFIX saves you the tiresome task of screwing gratings down or using a complicated locking mechanism. This securement method for professionals is available for all non-bolted heavy-duty drainage channels. Detailed view – PROFIX locking system 7 MEA®DRAIN Supreme TOP channel covers CLIPFIX rapid locking for Z/S and SV channels Be it an attractive contrast or a harmonious transition to the adjoining slabbed or paved surface. MEA®DRAIN Top avails you of every option when it comes to design. And a securement method that allows every step to be completed in a flash when it comes to grating insertion and removal: MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX, the innovative alternate to grating securement using bolts. Simply place the grating in the channel body, step on the grating, finished. Special MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX indents in the side rails guarantee a secure hold! The result is nothing less than compelling: the CLIPFIX locking system saves time and money, facilitates optimal water discharge and will last reliably for decades. Operation of the MEA® CLIPFIX rapid locking system The only thing that snaps into position with MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX is the channel cover – into the MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX® indents on the side rails. And this is how MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX® works: Place the grating in the channel body, step on the grating, finished. It's not only installation that's a breeze, thanks to this innovative grating securement system. MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX® also pays handsome dividends when it comes to channel cleaning. Because the grating removes to reveal an entirely unobstructed channel cross section that can be cleaned without the hindrance of cross members. Grating removal can be as simple as this: All you will need are work gloves and the MEA® grating hook. Use this to lever out the first grating from a channel run. All the remaining gratings can now be removed conveniently by hand. Special indents integrated in the edge rails are the secret behind MEA®DRAIN CLIPFIX. They ensure the grating locks into position reliably and securely, but similarly facilitate removal in a matter of seconds. 8 MEA®DRAIN EN 1000 Clear width: Total width: Total height: Supreme - System overview EN 1500 100 mm 140 mm from 150 to 305 mm Clear width: Total width: Total height: EN 2000 150 mm 190 mm 180/220/270/320 mm Clear width: Total width: Total height: 200 mm 240 mm 220/280/330/380 mm • Channel section for linear fall (base slope 0.5%) and without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 • Channel section for stepped fall (5%) and without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 • Channel section for stepped fall (5%) and without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 EN 3000 ENS 2000 ENS 3000 Clear width: Total width: Total height: Clear width: Total width: Total height: Clear width: Total width: Total height: 300 mm 370 mm from 390 to 490 mm 200 mm 294 mm 330 mm 300 mm 394 mm 400 mm • Channel section without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 • Channel section without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to D400 • Channel section without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 ENS 3070 ENS 4000 Z/S 1000 Clear width: Total width: Total height: 300 mm 394 mm 760 mm Clear width: Total width: Total height: 400 mm 494 mm 465 mm • Channel section without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 • Channel section without slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to F900 Z 1500 Z/S 2000 Clear width: Total width: Total height: 150 mm 180 mm 220/270/320 mm • Channel section for stepped fall (5%) and without slope • Loading class A15 to C250 Clear width: Total width: Total height: Clear width: Total width: Total height: 100 mm 130 mm from 150 to 250 mm • Channel section for linear fall (base slope 0.5%), stepped fall (2.5%) and no slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to C250 SV 1000 200 mm 254 mm 280/330/380 mm • Channel section for stepped fall (5%) and without slope • Loading class A15 to C250 Clear width: Total width: Total height: 100 mm 133 mm from 150 to 305 mm • Channel section for linear fall (0.5%), stepped fall with transition section and no slope • Also available with integral outlet connection • Loading class A15 to E600 9 MEA®DRAIN Supreme REFERENCES Solutions in practice Dock-side facilities Industrial areas Storage and logistics areas 10 MEA®DRAIN Supreme REFERENCES Solutions in practice City and inner-city areas Railway stations Public areas 11 Contact: MEA Water Management GmbH Sudetenstraße 1 D-86551 Aichach Phone: +49 (0) 8251 - 91 0 Fax: +49 (0) 8251 - 91 13 00 E-Mail: info.drainage@mea.de www.mea-group.com www.mea-drainage.com
