At Biolife Plasma Services, plasma donations are collected so they may be processed into life-saving plasma-based therapies that benefit thousands of people every day. To ensure a consistent supply of plasma, Biolife Plasma Services recognizes every donor for his or her contributions and aims to give exceptional service. “Part of the company vision is to ensure ever y employee is valued and a fully engaged member of our team. Staffers are closely engaged with donors, many of whom have been dedicated donors for many years.” Additionally, Biolife Plasma Ser vices employees, numbering 53 in Kokomo, participate in local community activities. Staff members have been a part of fundraisers, such as the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, and volunteered in such activities as flower planting for Earth Day and bingo and games at area assisted living facilities. Donors have varying reasons for donating, including the self-fulfillment of knowing they are helping others. It is important to know that plasma is not a substance that can be produced in a laboratory; it can only be obtained from healthy adults.
