 Dayspring Walk to Emmaus
Chatter Matters FEBRUARY 2015
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoice
the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.....And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love." I Corinthians 13....

Table of Sarah
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself in 10 words or less.
Retired teacher, gratefully blessed as a wife, mother,
and grandmother
2. If you were to have a conversation with a person from
the Bible other than Jesus, who would it be and what
would you want to ask or discuss?
I'd probably want to visit with Mary, mother of Jesus
and ask her how she was able to step back and give
her son to God and the world. How did she handle her
humanness in the presence of his Divinity?
3. What is your favorite hymn or praise song? Why?
Ever since childhood, I have associated "Amazing
Grace" with the sweet grace of my grandmother. I now
picture her sitting back on her porch fanning herself
while singing that hymn.

Tablets, Ipads, Facebook, or texting, but just talking to one
another.
3. What are you currently reading?
I just completed Charles Stanley's book, Listening to God. I am
now reading, Could Not Tarry Any Longer by Larry Leait's

Sharon Durrence is currently serving as our Board Historian and is diligently trying to preserve the records for past Walks. In the
process of scanning information from all the Dayspring Walks, some information is missing. What is missing is listed below. If yo

If you have a way to scan and email the items, that would be great. If not, we'll work out some other way for her to get it. Please

"Pilgrim's Progress"
A "Lovely" Story of Christian Action
by
Bruce Purcell
Dayspring Walk to Emmaus #80
Table of Luke
Imagine God making something where there was nothing and answering a prayer!!! Five years ago, a local decided to take a ride on his dirt bike and just as he pulled out of his yard he was hit headon by a car! Just that he was paralyzed from the neck down. He and his wife's life was changed forever. His faith in God has be
sobering as everyday his soul light still shines through all the hard aches, pain, bills, and doctors. He smiles from his heart!
This paralyzed friend called me right before Thanksgiving to say he wanted to do something to help someone since he hadn't been
to help anyone since his accident. He said he had a freezer he wanted to give away if I knew someone who needed one. A man leas
able to give had the love of Christ in his heart! I told him I thought the Blount Boys Home near Lyons could use some help. Just l
that, God spoke and said we will carry the freezer there, but it will be carried full of food! Several people came out of the woodwor
and gave donations to deliver the freezer full of food plus a pickup truck load of more food. As we delivered this blessing to the
Blount Home, this group of about fifteen young boys, between the ages of ten to eighteen came out with the director. They were so
grateful and told us they had been praying for supplies and here God had answered themall through a paralyzed man!!! These young men were thankful for their food supply. The director told us the only way they could thank us was to sing a couple o
songs. As I stood in front and listened to these young men singing, "God is All I Need," I could not hold back tears of joy to God! Since then, these young men have been greatly blessed as they have blessed church congregations and groups beyond
measure dressed in their clothes that were donated and specially monogrammed. The seed of love that began all these blessings to
numerous to tell here was planted by a paralyzed man wanting to show God's love in his heart in the only way he could give! "
Be the Glory!!!"

A Special Note from the Lay Director of upcoming Girls' Journey Flight #28 by KK Oswald,
Coastal Georgia Chrysalis Flight #17
Hello Everyone,
I hope that all of you will come and support Dayspring Chrysalis Journey Flight #28 on February 12
15. I went on what is now Coastal Georgia Chrysalis Flight #16 in 1997 when I was l6 years old. I
have been involved with the Chrysalis Journey Flights since that time. I have been so blessed to be a
part of these special retreats and have seen God work on the inside of me and others throughout the
past fifteen plus years. The Journey weekend always plants seeds or changes the lives of young
people. These changes are so important in a person's walk with God. The weekend flights give young people a chance experience God in a way that is truly special and unique and also gives them tools to live a Christian life in today's worl
also provides them with friendship, fellowship, and mentorship that can last a lifetime. Please come out and support
Dayspring Chrysalis Journey Flight #28.
