April 2015
Dear Parents, Guardians and the Community
Welcome back to Term 2. I am very excited to have been appointed to Mullaloo
Beach Primary School while Mr Davies is enjoying his well-deserved leave. I
thank all staff and parents for the warm welcome I have received into the Mullaloo
Beach community.
I have held both Deputy Principal and Principal positions in a variety of
government schools over the past 16 years. This has included Principal of a small
Wheatbelt school with 17 students to larger metropolitan schools and most
recently as Principal at Tuart Hill Primary School.
I am passionate about public education and strive to create the best conditions
within a school to ensure all students receive a high quality education. The single
biggest influence on student performance is teacher quality. I am a firm believer
in supporting teachers to be the very best they can be. We are fortunate to have
a very dedicated and hardworking staffing group who put students first.
Students are at the forefront of every decision I make in a school. My motto is “If
it’s good for kids, then do it”.
The partnership between the school and parents is crucial and one I actively
promote. I believe in open and transparent communication and encourage
parents to make an appointment if you have anything you would like to discuss.
I look forward to working with the School Board and the P&C this year to support
student learning.

CHILDREN – DROP OFF and PICK UP
It is timely to remind parents about the
40km/h speed limit around the school during
peak periods in the morning and afternoon.
Please be cautious when dropping off and
picking up your child. We had a parent who
dropped off their children near the staff car park opened the car door and the
children ran across the staff car park on their own to the school building. One of
the children is a Pre Primary student. Parents of Pre Primary students are
requested to bring their children to the classroom and wait with them until the
door is opened at 8:40am.
SCHOOL PHOTO DAY IS –Tuesday 28th April
Our school photo day is coming! Every student will have received a Kapture
Photography order envelope to bring home. The recommended method of
ordering your photos is online through Kapture’s website as your payment is
secure and can be easily verified at any time. Alternatively you can pay by cash
or cheque and return the provided envelope to the school on the photography
day. If you place your order online please DO NOT return your envelope to
school.
Any parent who forgets or is unable to supply their envelope on the photo day will
have five (5) days to complete an order online. Late payment envelopes cannot
be accepted by the school office or by Kapture.
You also have the option to order a sibling photo package online, however please
be aware there may be a limited number of sibling orders that can be placed due
to time constraints on photo day. We suggest you place your online sibling order
as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Please note sibling orders close @ midday Monday 27th April 2015

administration records AS WELL as included in their class group photo available
for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason why your child should
NOT be included in the photo shoot –please contact the school office.
