About Interlam
INTERLAM was established in 1987 as an Italian High pressure laminate distributor. Over the past 23 years we have
grown to become a leading manufacturer of sculpted wall panels and expanded our line of architectural components.
INTERLAM is a designer and manufacturer of high-end SCULPTED WALL PANELS, EXOTIC VENEERS and components
based in the United States and exporting to all corners of the globe. The cornerstone of our business is creating and
supplying products to the A&D community that add significant value to their individual projects.
We are delighted to present our full line of Exotic veneer products that offer a dramatic alternative to traditional
veneers. We offer a variety of color, beauty, size and finish that allows the design professional total freedom of
expression during the creative process. Interlam’s veneers are exquisite expressions of artistic form providing a
continuation of nature to free flowing open interior spaces.
INTERLAM currently has more than 120 sculpted, carved and textured patterns in the Art Diffusion line and 38
ornamental WALL PANEL patterns in the new Elements line and 12 new patterns in the Mirage line of textured wall
panels. We have added 9 patterns to our line of eco-friendly Screens that debuted at the HD Expo in Vegas this
year. Our sculpted and carved panels contain architectural elements such as waves, ornamental textures, modular
repeating patterns and continuous patterns.
INTERLAM also offers many decorative wall covering and furniture component options such as our flexible slate
veneer marketed as MicroThin Slate, a through colored engineered fibre board known as Valchromat, wood and
metal weaves and many additional cutting edge products soon to be released into the market. Our innovative
research and design team is consistently designing new patterns, developing new processes and continues to lead
the industry in quality, accuracy and design content.
INTERLAM offers the very best core options to meet the most stringent industry requirements for formaldehyde
content and FSC certified fibres. These products will allow your projects to qualify for LEED credits and meet USGBC
standards. We also offer a full line of core options to meet Class 1 or A fire ratings.

What is IV?
IV is a strong and flexible veneer manufactured by applying a melamine
coating over the natural wood veneer. This process eliminates any further
surface treatment and preserves the unique warm glow of the natural wood.
The textured surfaces are aligned with the grain of the veneer and accentuates
the natural beauty and sheen of a natural product.
IV’s melamine finish far exceeds the quality of a lacquered product and
provides excellent resistance to surface abrasion, boiling water, dry heat,
scratches, UV light & crack formation when compared to HPL.
The cellulose fibre backing combined with the veneer and finish is only .5mm
thick and ensures excellent stability in postforming and radius applications.
Interlam veneer derives from a natural timber product, it characteristically
displays variations in grain and marketing and is subject to color change due
to ageing and exposure to natural light. Exact matches between individual
sheets cannot be guaranteed. Before final use of the product please check
that the color and graining meets your requirements. Liability cannot be
accepted for the product once it has been fabricated.
Interlam is fully committed to processes of ensuring that our suppliers meet
their stated criteria regarding the tracing back of our selected material to
well managed forests. Several or our main suppliers already have “Chain of
Custody” certificates from recognized bodies.

Uses and Application
Interlam Inc., A market leader in veneer products and architectural surfaces, launches the
unique pure wood veneer with distinct character. This line is an innovative range of quality
veneers designed to show off all the beauty and character of real wood veneer. By using the
mixmatch jointing technique, the lively character of the wood is brought forward and a unique
uniformity across all deliveries is offered. The collection consists of 10 wood species; available
in 2500 x 1240mm flexible veneer sheets (Available in 3050mm length by special order).
For use on interior surfaces such as architectural wall panels, elevator panels, cabinetry,
residential and institutional contract furniture, store fixtures, interior doors, office
furniture and more….
Contact adhesive applications require the substrate and the back of the veneer sheet
to be coated with the adhesive. Apply adhesive according to adhesive manufacturer’s
instructions. Mechanical pressure will be required to ensure a permanent bond. Backing
sheets must be applied to maintain a balanced product. Cold press glues and other
standard methods will also be acceptable. Prior to applying adhesive, inspect both the
substrate surface and the back of the veneer sheets to ensure the areas are free of dust,
debris, oil, dirt or any other foreign material. All raised areas must be sanded smooth
and any indentations must be filled and sanded smooth prior to proceeding with the
bonding process. Substrates suitable for the process are MDF’s, HDF’s, SDF’s, Valchromat,
cabinet grade particleboard or a high quality sanded cabinet grade plywood.
