SILENCE OF THE SHARKS THE CALL OF OUR CHILDREN Posters from Eilat, Israel Posters from Cologne, Germany These drawings were made by gifted 8th and 9th grade students at the age of 14-15 from Eilat, Eilot and Central Arava. During art classes with Oranit Goldstein, they were first introduced with scientific and statistic facts, as well as the intensity of global protests against shark hunting along the history. They then studied the various creative tools made use of in protests worldwide, which served them later on in the process of creating their own banners and ads. Tom Sarir, animation and graphic expert, also assisted these children with producing protest video clips, which can be watched at the SILENCE OF THE SHARKS official website. These drawings were made by 4th grade students at the age of 9-10 from Olympia elementary school, located at North West Cologne. Cologne is one of the 3 largest cities in Germany and the town’s landmark is its famous cathedral, Kölner Dom. During the 4 recent years, these students have participated in an environmental and shark conservation program called Sharkproject. They responded with much enthusiasm when they were offered to contribute to the SILENCE OF THE SHARKS project together with students from Israel by creating artistic posters.
