Eddington House’s 15th
Anniversary Party Celebration!
By Helene aka Groovy Suzie
There’s a P-A-R-T-Y in the house! At the Eddington House aka “E-House” that is! They are
celebrating their 15th Anniversary on August
24th with a big bang! Their theme is USA
once again so don’t forget to wear your Red,
White, and Blue to show your support! There
will be drink specials, t-shirt give a-ways and
other fantastic prizes! Generation Next will
be there to kick off the celebration from 9-1,
but come early and enjoy the complimentary
buffet that starts at 8 pm!
The fun begins when you walk in the door.
They have a big bar area and their dining area
is both smoking and non-smoking. If you are
a sports fan you can get all that and more on
their 20 brand new plasma televisions that are
placed throughout the club. After work you
can enjoy their Happy Hour Monday-Thursday; Wednesdays is E-House’s big Family-Trivia
night from 8-10 pm! Winners go home with
gift certificates and cash prizes! There is live
entertainment on Thursdays and Friday nights
and Saturday is Karaoke Nite with Steve
Bolsover.
The E-House is considered to be one of the
best family and neighborhood sports bars
and restaurants in the Bucks county area.
Bryan and Gina, the owners of the E-House,
bought the place on August 24, 1992, shortly
after they were married, with the help of
their parents. They recently expanded one of
their rooms and will make a special dedication in memory of Bryan’s father, who passed
away this past February. The new room will
be named after him and his favorite drink;
“Mr. G.” V.O. Manhattan Room. A gesture that
would certainly delight Bryan’s late father.
Bryan and Gina wanted to also extend special
thanks to all of their regulars who have come
to be a big part of the E-House family. They
also contribute much of their success and take
great pride in their ability to provide excellent
customer service by their bartenders and wait
staff that is both friendly and courteous. And
let’s not forget the “behind the scenes staff”
like their great chefs and cooks who continue
to conjure up some of the best meals around
like Chicken Marsala, Pot Roast, Prime Rib and
their famous Turkey Dinner- all cooked to order. And next time you stop-in; make sure you
get a taste of Bryan’s special chicken noodle
soup…MMM MMM Good!
If you are a ”regular” or a “newbie” don’t forget to mark your calendar for August 24th and
become a part of E-House’s big “family”! For

POISON & RATT ROCK THE TAJ MAHAL
By ROB NAGY
With another summer concert season
winding down pop metal concert goers
were recently treated to the continued
rebirth of the 80’s when Poison and Ratt
played Atlantic City’s Trump Taj Mahal. A
near capacity crowd of forty something’s
paid seventy dollars a ticket to take a
walk back in time and enjoy the bone
crunching sounds of these one time
charting artists. Ratt opened the show
playing a seventy-five minute set, which
included their most notable hits “Round
and Round” and “Dance”. Original lead
singer Stephen Pearcy fronted the band
garbed in his signature black leather
pants. Looking every bit the rock star
Pearcy was a presence from the opening
chord. While showing visible signs of
years on the road he is still very capable
of hitting the notes that catapulted the
band to stardom more then twenty
years ago. Women, now middle aged,
pushed up against the barriers in front
of the stage screaming and hollering as if
they were teenagers again. With nothing
is yet confirmed, look for a new CD
from Ratt later this year. For more info
go to www.therattpack.com
Following a lengthy intermission Poison
came on stage with the gusto of a band
twenty years younger. Each member
made his way on stage with the climax
being the stage entrance of lead singer
Brett Michaels. Unlike Ratt, Poison has
remained in-tact for decades with all the
original members. Guitarist C.C. Deville
and Michaels played center stage causing
an uncontrollable frenzy with the female
fans in attendance. While the band is
now past mid life they have aged well
considering the notorious reputation
they have for partying and fraternizing.
They played with great enthusiasm and
abandon cranking through the Poison
catalog of hits, which included “Talk
Dirty To Me”, “Your Momma Don’t
Dance” and Every Rose Has It’s Thorn”,
the bands closing encore for the night.
During portions of their excruciatingly
loud set video projections of topless
women dancing played behind the band.
With a number of very young fans in
attendance I found this to be inappropriate and unnecessary as well as
taking away from what Poison does best,
playing loud head banging rock and roll.
It was not uncommon to see lots of fans
wearing a straw cowboy hats, like Brett
Michaels sports on stage.

down their tour in Atlanta, GA. on
September 3, 2007.

Resorts Atlantic City to present
“The World’s Greatest
Party Band,”
The B-52’s
Saturday, August 18
Resorts Atlantic City announced that the
B-52’s will perform a special one-night-only
show on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 8 p.m.
in the Superstar Theater.
Dubbed “the world’s greatest party band,”
the B-52’s are trailblazers of the rock
world who have managed to remain at the
forefront. It’s all due to their groundbreaking style and their penchant for breaking
the rules.
Formed in an Atlanta Bar one night in
October of 1976 and named for a bouffant hairdo, the B-52’s were anything but
ordinary right from the start. Their sound
– as well as their style – can be described
as quirky while emitting a contagious highenergy feel. But above all, the B-52’s can be
described as fun. Hence, the moniker “the
world’s greatest party band.”
Originally made up of Fred Schneider, Kate
Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson and
Keith Strickland, the B-52’s made an instant
impact with their first single “Rock Lobster”
in 1978. The reception was so overwhelming, they were invited to appear regularly
at New York City’s legendary club CBGB’s
among other venues. Success snowballed,
and in time The B-52’s landed a coveted
record deal.
Their eponymous first album sold well
and included the hits “Rock Lobster” and
“52 Girls.” Success followed in 1980 with
hits from their second album “Wild Planet,”
including “Private Idaho,” “Give Me Back
My Man” and “Strobe Light.” Beyond the
fun, much-adored music that seemed to
bestride all types of genres and fans, the
B-52’s were shaping future bands with their
style, sound and innovative use of language.
The next two albums launched The B-52’s
as a household name as the MTV generation was exposed to this quirky band. And
the reception was again huge.
However, it was during the mid-1980s at
the height of their success that the band
suffered the tragic loss of one of its founding members, Ricky Wilson, to AIDS. After a
period of mourning, the band bounced back
and continued to produce hits just as Wilson would have wanted – and in his honor.
In fact, Strickland switched from drums to
guitar and learned the unique style with
which the late gifted Wilson played his instrument. In 1989, the band finally released
an album again. And with it came even
more success. “Cosmic Thing” included the
chart-climbers “Love Shack,” “Roam” and
“Deadbeat Club.” And a new generation of
B-52’s fans was born.
After a separation, the band is back, much
to the pleasure of fans around the globe.
They’ve recently recorded an album and are
doing what they were born to do – shake
things up in the music world.
The B-52’s will perform in Resorts’ Superstar Theater, August 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets
are priced at $75 and can be purchased by
calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420 or
by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com
Built to Spill at the TLA
By Eli Sentman
It’s no secret that I love Built to Spill.
As far as indie rock guitarists go, Doug
Martsch has to be near the top, just under
guys like Dinosaur Jr’s J. Mascis. I’ve reviewed Built to Spill shows twice already,
but I always feel that after every show
I have plenty of new things to say. Their
show on July 6th at the TLA was better
than the show I attended back in October,
but I’m still not sold on if it was better
than the first time I saw them a few years
back. One thing’s for sure: they were excellent, as always. Let’s start with the set
list, shall we? The crowd was treated to a
mix of everything. From earlier tracks to,
to new songs, and even a cover of Brian
Eno’s “Third Uncle”, Built to Spill played it
all. The highlight of the set for me, and I’m
sure, most of the crowd, was “Car”, a favorite of many fans. The band put the song
to rest the last few tours, but finally I got
to hear it live. It’s one of my favorite songs
ever, and at the opening notes the audience was ecstatic. Immediately after that,
they launched into a song off their very
early album Ultimate Alternative Wavers.
The rest of the set list was just as solid.
But a good set list makes no difference
of the band isn’t good. Not that I had
any fears that they wouldn’t play well.
The triple guitar attack of Built to Spill
is just plain awesome. The songs are just
as layered, and sometimes more, than
they are on album. The three guitarists
create a wall of sound of sorts that you
can only experience at a live show. I’ll
admit, sometimes the song can get lost
in the mix, though that’s rare. But if you
were really prodding me to say something
negative, I’d have to throw that out there.
Not every song needs to be so layered and
complex. Basically, what I’m saying is that
Built to Spill’s best live strength, can also be
their biggest weakness. Three guitars works
for many of their songs, but sometimes
it just doesn’t. The songs where it really
does work well are the ones that would
be expected, like the more jam oriented
songs off Perfect From Now On. Case in
point here is the encore, “Randy Described
Eternity” which lasted for a little over 20
minutes. The song starts normal and just
keeps building and building to something
bigger. The wall of sound I was talking about
before? It’s at it’s best at this point. These
guys just play their instruments so well. It’s
refreshing to see a band being both technically proficient and melodic, as many times
bands seem to sacrifice one for the other.
To sum it all up, it didn’t surprise me to
once again enjoy the great show that Built
to Spill puts on.

lasting name.
For the last 15 years, Brian
and Gina Gramiak have
taken on the traditions along
with their hardworking
staff, and have made some
changes that only increased
popularity of this fine establishment.
The menu is large and
can satisfy anyone. On our
recent visit,
on a friday night, we started
our dining experience with
two appetizers. My wife ordered the E- House wings(
$6.50)..You can oreder
them either hot or mild. We
went to the mild side and
they came served with blue
cheese dressing and celery
sticks and they were excellent. For our entrees, my
wife Barbara ordered the
Chicken Piccante (($12.95).
This was made with a a
white wine sauce and
garnished with garlic and
lemon. I ordered one of my
favorites...Chopped Sirlon ($11.50) with sauteed
onions, peppers and mushrooms and served with a
special E-House recipe of
spices. Good portions on
both dinners. All the entrees
come with soup or salads and
you choice of baked potato
or their creamy garlic mashed
potatoes, or French fries
and a freshely baked loaf of
bread or your choice of garlic
bread. I had the creamy garlic
mashed potatoes to go with
my dinner, and they are just
out of this world.
They call the menu a “Full
Service” menu at the Eddington House, that is what Gina
Gramiak said to me, and it
sure is.You can order anything
from Pasta to Seafood, Beef,
Veal, Chicken and Steak dinners or any kind of sandwich,
hot or cold to Pizza and all
your favoirte finger foods
too. The service is quick and
friendly and the prices are the
best you’ll find.
The E- House is not only a
good restaurant but a great
sports bar with 21 Flatscreen
HDTV’s for all sports. The EHouse is entertainment with
top names in local entertainment weekly and they also
have live music happy hours.
The E- House touches all the
bases. All year long, they also
have various promotions from
wing eating contest to Karaoke contest.. The E- House is
just a great place to enjoy.
Coming up - Help Brian
and Gina Gramiak and the
staff and family of the EHouse celebrate (15 great
years! ) on August 24th, with
a party that will run all day
long and all night long. Music
will be by Generation Next.

Bringing’ Back The 80’S at ROCKLAHOMA
WARRANT
VINCE
NEIL
By: Steve Trager
As the word quickly surfaced throughout the
Internet as being one of the most eagerly
anticipated rock events of more then a decade, became a rockers fantasy come true for
more then 100,000 concert fanatics from all
over the us and not mentioning six continents
world wide all just for one thing and that was
to be apart of this years first ever ROCKLAHOMA in Pryor Oklahoma. I myself got
wind of this event and thought what a great
ideal to host four amazing days filled with
nothing but 80’s rock to which millions have
grown up listening to throughout their youth.
I immediately said I’m heading west to catch
this event come hell or high water. The 80’s
given us much more then just pretty faces
on MTV, it’s given us a building foundation
of what we had and what we still have today
despite of the ever changing latitude of music
filling the radio airwaves and concert venues
from back to front. I have never really done
much traveling for any concert, but there are
such exceptions to the golden rule of just
going around in a square hole for certain
bands and shows. I hoped for great weather
despite the fact that being forewarned about
it raining continuously in Oklahoma weeks
away from this show, that can certainly put a
mood swing on anything outdoors as far as
entertainment goes. One can only imagine
being on the grounds of a forty acre venue
complete with camping, hot showers, tons
of beer, and all the music you can intake for
four days to offset any typical rock show. I
would say this reminded of a Woodstock
show but nothing but the core of 80’s band’s
that redefined and shaped our rock roots as
youngsters. I can’t even put a price tag on the
amount of talent that shaped every single day
on the main stage with headlining perfor-
mances till the wee hours of the morning
with the likes of POISON, VINCE NEIL, and
the mighty TWISTED SISTER. Despite the
missing members throughout each band, each
day captivated every rock fan that stretched
across the venue. I myself haven’t seen
certain bands in years and this was what I
can say a trip of a lifetime to endure as much
glamour rock from the 80’s as anyone can
ever swallow being a part of history right in
the heart of Pryor Oklahoma. I was slightly
stunned to know that Philly’s own Britny Fox
performed on one of the days but without
Johnny D and Michael Kelly Smith on hand.
I can understand one not being present but
the core guitar work that given Britny Fox
their own signature sound throughout their
music wasn’t even present. I had a chance to
catch up with Tommy Paris and said hey man
where’s Michael? He replied different place,
different time. He said when you see us play

The Revenge of the
Monster Truck
The Monster truck’s popularity emerged
around the late 70’s or early 80’s. It was with
the first real Monster Truck “Big Foot” show
events that left folks in utter amazement.
Back then? The average copy cat Monster
truck owner was in their late teens to early
20’s. These were enthusiasts who attempted
to afford such a barely street legal toy! The
Higher! The Better! It was like struck Penile
envy “my trucks bigger then your truck!” To
drive one is an adrenaline rush similar to the
feel of a Harley between your legs or pulling a
hole shot in a muscle car getting ready to go
down the quarter mile track. “I must admit it
is a truly wicked feeling mastering the wheel
of one.” You also must respect the fact that
these are indeed Monsters and can do a lot
of physical damage if handled irresponsibility. I find it amazing however at the daring
stupidity of other fellow average drivers that
will purposely pull out in front of you never
34
considering that the torque and weight and
height of these metal racehorses makes it
twice as difficult to stop then say a normal
size car or truck.
In 1982, I bought my 1976 Ford F150 (4
speed) at age 19 and worked two jobs to pay
it off and continually added to it. It became an
addiction. First the 3” polyurethane lift kit,
then custom made shocks, then the double
loop roll bar, the $150.00 a piece wheels
and $300.00 a piece 38” tires. Then came
the headers and customizing the interior. I
sat for hours making a velvet button tufted
headliner. I smoked the windows and spent
another $2,000 on the suspension up at
Linwood Bose’s 4 x 4 shop in North Wales.
I had her slopping around in the mud often
and besides steep hill climbs my favorite dare
feat was to run her up creek beds in the
middle of the night and watch the fish just fly
in front of the hood in the headlights! That
was awesome! Now how many chicks can say
they’ve done that? Today? It’s become next
to impossible to find places to play off road
where you won’t get fined or chased away.
“Brutus” was originally Black & Silver and sat
35
Volume 29 Number 8 • August 8, 2007 to August 29, 2007 • www.OOTWEB.com
for many years. I then loaned her to my good
friend Bob Sandy from Warminster for 2 years,
and he brought her back to life with a fresh
candy apple red paint job and gave her some
upgrades such as a tilt wheel, power windows,
air conditioning and tons of chrome in the
motor and a long list of other enhancements.
Bob loves her as much as I do and did a great
job of giving her life again! She still only has
57,000 original miles on her as I only take her
out now and then for sh*ts and giggles and my
boyfriend simply humors me. Believe it or not?
Even with a 360 motor she does much better
on gas then my little Blazer.
Now in the 90’s the Monster trucks ran into
many legal problems due to some irresponsible owners that didn’t handle their size and
power properly and there were many unnecessary road fatalities and these trucks were
apparently banned in many states. There was
a time that the state made it next to impossible for me to get “Brutus” inspected. I had
to lower the bumpers, get fender flares and
finally I was told to lower her. After spending
over $2,000 to get her up there? Bringing her
back down was not an option, so she sat till
the fad ran out and you started seeing less and
less of these on the roads. Extinction set in.
Now that the laws have seem to ease up,
It’s exciting to find a fellow Monster owner
and am finding a slight resurgence of them on
the highways again. They’re coming back and
bolder then before! Funny so many of these
kids are out there painstakingly lowering their
Pick ups and then there is that certain breed
that ask “So what’s that little thing gonna be
when it grows up?” I came across Aaron
Clayton from Hulmeville, PA whose purple
1979 Ford Monster is actually up for sale! I
had to go check her out and she is just gorgeous! She has
smoked flames
as a front mask
air brushed so
tastefully! Now
this truck originally done up in
West Virginia is
really hog wild
with upgrades.
She blows mine
totally away.
They really
went to town
on this one! A
lot of time and
a lot of money
went into this
truck! Now
this one has a
worked 460
big block and
new automatic
transmission
and loads more.

Astrology
By Psychic Perry B.
Aries (March 21-April 19) Family should be your priority right now that summer is over.
You have to focus on the domestic scene. Getting things back to routine is important. Take
the time to organize your days, and you will see it will payoff later. Donʼt let fall keep you in.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) Display your dynamics, and try to instill some of your energy
into others. You are a leader, and show that, and others will follow. But do not forget to
take time for yourself. Play time is very important. Get out more, and show the merchandise, and you will see a big difference in relationship matters.
Gemini (May 21-June 20) You might want to stay close to home for the next few days.
There is much to be done there, and you have put it off long enough. Save the weekend for
fun. However, you will need a break. What you have to work this weekend? Call in sick.
NOT!
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Your uncanny way of seeing deeper into things causes people to
come to you for help. Being a Cancer you never turn them down. That is fine, but be sure to
leave sometime for yourself. Just because summer is over does not mean fun time is over.
Add a little fun into the plan.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22) You may seem a bit rushed, but donʼt allow that to control you. Take
your time and all will get all done little by little. Plan a meeting with those close to you. It
give you a better understanding of a rumor that is floating around. Bring it out into the
open. It will stop the buzz.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) An early start is the best approach to getting things done just
now. You are at your best in the AM. Save the afternoon for rest, and relaxation. In the
evening get out to a club after all you are entitled to have some fun.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) The needs of others may be getting you down, but it is your own
fault. You are trying to be everything to everybody, and it is wearing you out. You need
some self time, and you should take it soon. You have needs too, and they have to be
fulfilled also. Put some more balance into your life, and pay yourself first.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) There will be someone new coming into your life, and they will
be very exciting, but do not forget you older friends. You donʼt want to create chatter, or
gossip. Include your gang into your plans, and you will see the more the merrier.
Sagittarius (Nov.22-Dec. 21) A family dispute could cause problems later on. Be flexible
in your stand, and things will not be as tense. If you feel you are right say so but then you
must be open to the other side of the story. A friend could give you a different prospective.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan 19) Try to look at all sides of a confrontation. It might be important to get another point of view. Be sure you have all the facts in line before you confront.
You might be surprised as a friend comes to your aid.
Aquarius (Jan.20-Feb 18) Beware of your mood swings when it comes to relationship.
If you send mixed messages you will confuse your spouse or lover. As always it is better
to look before you leap. Listen carefully to what is being said, and concentrate instead of
fashioning you next statement.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) It is time for a change in the method in which you approach
your relationship. The time has come to either say yes or no to your lifeʼs expectations.
Being firm will bring a more confident reaction in your relationship. Remember it is not how
much you love the other person it is how much of their nonsense you can tolerate.

ROCKLAHOMA cont. from page 33
you will be amazed of the lineup we put together which
still included Billy Childs. Yeah the axe man who they
call Crash kicks on the guitar. So I can say even hearing
the good ole favorites like “ Girls School”, “Louder”, and
“ Shot From My Gun” as always sounded very refreshing to hear each of them live with the current lineup.
Other great sets over the weekend were featured by:
RATT who has Stephen Piercy back in the fold as frontman to which his voice wasn’t at its peak but none the
less sounded great with “ Wanted Man” , “ Lay It Down”,
and “ Round n Round “.
Each and every other band that performed timeless
rock classics seemed to nail Despite the long set changes, vocal checks which made the headliners perform
right around midnight each night never bothered the full
house packed to the gills for Poison who played Friday
night along with RATT. Other band performances that
rocked into the weekend were SKID ROW, Y&T, WARRANT, DOKKEN and FIREHOUSE who always never
leaves any rock fan disappointed with their live sets..
POISON
DOKKEN
As if the last two days didn’t rock out enough, Sunday
we were treated to great sets by : QUEENSRYCHE
who got added to the bill back in June. Nothing one
can ever say bad about Geoff Tate and his band, always
a grand performance with songs going back as far as
1984. I have seen these guys more times then I can
remember and even when they played smaller venues
still they rock. But the entire weekend wouldn’t be truly
complete without a stunning set with TWISTED SISTER
in full makeup. It’s been years since I last seen this band
perform and yet they still can grasp the fans with balls
and let every song just rip into shreds.” The Kids Are
Back”. and “ I Wanna Rock” just were the icing on the
cake topping out the set of songs at this years
ROCKLAHOMA.
I can finally say this was a trip through time with each
and every band playing their hits we have come to
expect from this show and we
certainly got our money’s worth
even with the heat and humidity
which made it feel like a typical
rock show in the blazing sun.
