Flanders has one of the densest and most coherent waterway networks in
Europe. Waterwegen en Zeekanaal NV (W&Z) wishes to capitalise on this
important asset in the best possible way. Our vision is clear: to achieve
dynamic management of our waterways and the land that borders them.
W&Z promotes the use of these waterways and land in line with the interests
of all stakeholders and with an emphasis on sustainable growth, flood
protection and integrated water management. W&Z fulfils this vision with a
range of activities.
W&Z considers its mission to be an important social project and
pursues a modern, innovative and future-oriented policy aimed at
