HUGGINS BASEBALL FIELD 1320 5th Street North • St. Petersburg, Florida • 33701 Huggins Baseball Field was the former spring training field for the New York Yankees and is located at Crescent Lake Park. A few well-known ball players Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio all played on this field. Facilities Available for Rent Non-Lighted Major League Baseball Field Call (727) 893-7298 to reserve. www.stpeteparksrec.org Rules and Policies Application Process Monday through Friday • 9:00 am to 6:00 pm • 1400 19th St. N, Bldg A, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 • 727-893-7298 Application for use must be submitted at least seven days prior to requested usage. Required Forms (if applicable) All required forms must be submitted at the time of application. Liability Insurance Tax Exempt Form Availability Most City athletic fields are available for use from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. There is a two hour minimum for all rentals. Fields are not lined, and bases are not provided. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel and/or relocate a rental due to field conditions. Fees All fees must be paid at the time of application. Additional Information User Responsibility - The individual or representative of the organization signing the agreement will be responsible for the conduct of all participants, workers, volunteers, and guests. In the event that facility usage policies are not followed, the City reserves the right to immediately terminate the usage with no refund. Food/Beverages – Food and beverages are allowed in designated areas only. A separate cleaning deposit may be required for some rentals. Alcohol Use – The sale, service dispensing, possession, use and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages on city property is prohibited except pursuant to City Ordinance, City Sponsored or Co-Sponsored events. Hazardous Materials – The use of any substances that are explosive or highly flammable in nature are not permitted. Licenses/Permits – The user will be responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses and permits required by law. Advertising – Sponsor’s banners shall not be displayed without the written consent of the facility’s supervisor or designee. Other Equipment – No equipment requiring electricity, a generator, or the installation of additional electricity shall be operated or installed without the written consent of the facility’s supervisor or designee. All approved equipment must be removed by the end of your event. Fees will be assessed for any clean-up or damages.
