We have had a very successful first couple of days and we are off to a great start of the school year! However, there is one tradition that I would like to break. Every year, so far, PES has had a rainy day dismissal on the first day of school. Even if this does become tradition, it is evident by how patient and helpful everyone was that we can deal with some rain. Thank you again for your patience. As a reminder, Friday is the first day that all the Kindergarten students will be here. This will again cause the parent pick up and drop off line to run a bit slower. In addition, we will have a PSA helping with traffic this Friday morning. NO SCHOOL Attention parents of Bikers and Walkers: We will no longer be using the Alert Now phone messaging system to alert you of dismissal changes on rainy days. Beginning next week, rainy day dismissals will be announced via text message. In order to receive this message, please text ‘@pesbi’ to 904-201-3382. As summer winds down, I know you are wondering what to do with all those pool noodles cluttering up your home… and the answer is, donate them to PES’s music department! Yes, I am serious! Pool noodles make great rhythm tools and we could sure use a set of them… so if you have any spares, please send them in to the music room. Thank you!
