CREATIVITY TEAMWORK A semester of courses in interdisciplinary life sciences. FDV Bachelor Who are the students ? Talented scientific students coming from various countries and scientific fields, who have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies. INNOVATION SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS INTERNSHIPS INTERDISCIPLINARITY Who are the teachers ? Top life sciences researchers, fond of innovative pedagogy. An INTERDISCIPLINARY BACHELOR PROGRAM at Paris Descartes University The bachelor program Frontiers in Life Science (FDV Bachelor) at the University Paris Descartes welcomed its first class of students in September 2011, to learn in a unique and exceptional environment, with interdisciplinary approaches to science and innovative pedagogy. It provides students a strong science culture in several disciplines (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, philosophy of sciences). Through projects and teamwork, students develop their creativity, knowledge and personal skills. The international semester iFDV offers a unique opportunity to 20 international students to study in an interdisciplinary researchoriented environment in Paris. IFDV CURRICULUM The iFdV modules are all taught in English and carry in all 30 ECTS points (each module 15 ECTS) : Modules A [150h] Diversity of Interdisciplinary Life Science Modules A cover different topics of research in interdisciplinary life sciences. Modules B [150h] Modern Science Research Methods Modules B aim at immersing the students into the design of scientific activities, from finding research problems to communicating scientific knowledge.
